Great. So another podcast coming from my studio in CasinoMeisterLand, straight to you, my dear listener to, wherever you may be at the moment. You just might be in front of your computer, multitasking, listening to my words of woo, or perhaps you’re ironing at the moment, or lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, or perhaps driving to work, chilling out on the road, and using me as a distraction from the bullshit that may await you, whatever the case may be.

So, anyway, yeah. So how are you doing well? I’m doing fine. And I just got back from an amazing conference in London. Yeah, it was the betting on sports conference hosted by SBC sports at the Olympia exhibition hall in Kensington.

And what a show! I was mainly focused on the casino beats track and scheduled to be on a panel that dealt with predictions on, you know, the new casino player, the generation Z player or Zed, whatever, whatever the case may be. And I’ll get to, you know, I’ll get into that in a few because it’s an exciting subject for the moment.

I just want to bring to your attention the plight of a young man, some of you I know know, and I’m talking about Anthony at the GPWA or at the APWC, Anthony has been at these companies for as long as I can remember, and he’s one of their moderators in the forum and when one of their admins, and he’s a great guy,
right? Many of you affiliates and affiliate managers have seen him at the conferences at the G PWA stand. And I can honestly say that he is one of the nicest guys I have met in this industry. He’s assisted many affiliates to retrieve funds from affiliate programs, and he’s resolved many complaints over there.

Anyway, Anthony has been diagnosed with a serious spinal issue that needs immediate surgery. A number of affiliates, you know, websites, players, industry, folks, and I are raising funds to assist him in paying for his medical and recovery needs after surgery. He’s going to be laid up for some time, you know, and without the surgery, he’s looking at possible paralysis. So we’re taking this seriously and doing what we can to help him and his family out.

If you could go to CasinoMeister, and in the charity section of the forum, you will see a thread asking for donations, you know, so, you know, 10 bucks, 20 bucks, a hundred, whatever, whatever you can give to help out will make a difference for him and his family. So please navigate the forum and do what you can.
That would be an awesome thing to do. Thanks.

So, yeah. Yeah. Anyway, I just got back from London and yeah, it was a really nice trip too short in my opinion, but nice. Yeah, but I love London and I usually stay there about a week when I traveled there, but this was like three short days. And as I mentioned, I was part of a panel group three individuals, you know, myself, Gavin Walters from gambling.com and an operator Marriott Mariano’s she Panisse from can’t be on gaming.

This was moderated by the gorgeous, but recently married Rebecca Ligero Fontana. Great name by the way. Anyway, this discussion was about how the industry was to deal with generation Z. These are the kids who were born in the mid 1990s to the early two thousands.
And these kids, you know, these are the kids who have never known life without smartphones, social media, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, needless to say, no one, you know, no one in their right mind would, you know, should be targeting these folks. These are the kids who are 25 or younger,
right? They’re either in college or shuffling from one Jo job to the next or whatever. But this discussion was about preparing for these people who will be, you know, who, who in some aspects become players within the next decade.

So, you know, looking at Casinomeister’s stats, the most populated user group is the 25 to 32 year olds,
you know, which is about 40%. And right after that, or the 35 to 44 year olds hanging in there about 22%. So 60% of our traffic is based on 25 to 44 year olds, which really makes total sense.

But in 10 years when generation Z or that big chunk of visitors, you know, how would they respond to online casinos as a form of entertainment?

Remember these folks who are kids now have different online behaviors than perhaps you or me, you know. I had a life before the internet, you know, decades. And I was there when, you know, as it developed, it morphed and evolved into what it is today, you know, and I was discussing this with my good friends, Ian Simms, the creator and director of Right Lander and Neil Walker, the creator of livecasinocomparer.com.

And you know, we’re about the same age. And yeah, and my question was, you know, has your online behavior changed over the past 10 or 15 years? And they thought about this and answered, no, it’s pretty much the same as with me.

My approach to the internet is, you know, is not to entertain me, but to provide information, I visit sites and I read, you know, use it for research with, you know, whether it is to, you know, how to properly just gears on a mountain bike or you know, how to play the Delta blues slide guitar.

You know, it’s, it’s, it’s my library into the world. Young folks, young folks, I think, you know, they tend to use this more for being entered, you know, interactive with others. Remember these young people do not know a life without Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, you know, imagine that, you know, they’ve always, they’ve always had a connection to other folks, always 24 7. And, you know, the tendency of these generation Z folks is having, you know, it’s kind of like having a, a short attention span and needing the immediacy of a response.

In other words, they rely heavily on interaction and speediness, You know, so, you know, during this panel discussion, Gavin, you know, he pointed out, well, he, he had done some pretty awesome research that the generation Z or Zed populous art used to the internet, they are aware of certain nuances.

Like for instance, there’s, there’s no, you know, there’s a good chance that rating systems maybe, you know, they may be skewered since many top positions are bought and paid for.

Yeah. And just a side note, not a Casinomeister. Our rating system has a transparent mathematical formula and, you know, and it’s, and it’s also done by our Meister minions. So no one buys positions at CasinoMeister, anyway, generation Z. They know this, this, you know, they know that a lot of these top positions are being bought and paid for it.

So your top 10 casino list maybe considered garbage, you know, also this group of folks, now they tend to read more reviews and compare, you know, just like you may tend to do at, you know, at Amazon or TripAdvisor, you may do a lot of comparisons. So this may be problematic for the webmaster.

People come to your site, read your review, agree with it. And then they go on elsewhere, read those reviews and finally sign up through perhaps another website. So webmasters really need to put, you know, their thinking caps on for this one. Another thing to consider, you know, I, I remember several months back, I was in the states, you know, listening to NPR and there was a guest on All Things Considered who stated that teen drinking was way down.

You know, there are so many laws enacted against underage drinking that teenagers nowadays they’re used to that, and they’re not breaking the law. I mean, you know, back in the day, I remember as a kid, well, you know, I was, you know, 16, 17, whatever, you know, I remember, I remember pimping for beer outside liquor stores, you know, would be a matter of just really a few minutes before still cool Would agree to buy your beer. You know, you’d pay him, they’d go in and buy it. Yeah. Could you imagine, can you, could you imagine doing that today?

Hell probably meant you’d probably make the papers, you know, adult, you know, you know, Florida man buys beer for kids and you definitely, you know, you definitely go to jail and probably lose your job. And there’s probably a felony right now in the states, and it would probably arrest the kids as well. Meanwhile, the drinking age in Germany for beer and wine is 16.

You know, 14, if you’re at home or in a restaurant with your parents right now, what I’m getting at, what I’m getting at here is that, you know, the coddled generation Z with all the helicopter parents and restrictions that they deal with this generation will probably be concerned that the casinos that they’re playing at are properly, properly licensed and safe right now,
a lot of people just don’t give a shit.

You gotta be shitting me. One thought that I have concerns. The games since generation Z is highly preoccupied with social connections, networks, gaming, et cetera. I’m not sure if the slot games of today cut it. Yeah. You know, the last several years have been just snoozing for online casino games: slots, slots, slots.

It’s all, you know, it’s all as being produced now, innovation, something new is stagnant. Like, I mean, you know, the best we can get with any interactivity is through like friends, the battle slots, video slots, where you can compete against your friends and tournaments and such, you can chat with them, watch the win or lose, you know, it’s brilliant. However, still, I don’t think this speaks to all to the new upcoming, you know, gamers, you know, it’s kind of a novelty at the moment. So yeah,, I feel that there is a new platform that just hasn’t been discovered yet, a new game that would meet the demands and expectations of the next generation of players.

Something that’s strictly playable on a handheld device and incorporates a global group activity somehow. Yeah. I don’t, I, I don’t think we’re there yet. Anyway, I’m heading back to the desert in about a week. Some of you may not know this, but I am a citizen of the world.

And I spent a lot of my time traveling around, and one of my pet projects is hanging out in the high desert, just south of the Sequoia national forest and, you know, in California. And it’s a magnificent place to, you know, pursue astrophotography and to hike around in nature. And, you know, I was out there a few weeks ago, and it was, it was hot. It was 110 freaking degrees, but you get used to it. Yeah. Right now, it’s not so bad. So, you know, I’m going to go return to go chill out, and who knows, maybe another podcast from the boonies? I’ll let you know.

And of course, and of course there is the G2 E coming up in a few weeks. Yes. I will be there. I have attended this awesome gathering in Vegas since the first two E in 2001. So maybe I just might see you there. I don’t know. I’ll be sure to, to attend the fishbowl session on Monday the 14th, where I will be discussing the image of online gambling,it should be pretty interesting. So, you know, come, come by and check it out. And I hope to see you there. Of course, if you can make it. But yeah, other than that, that’s all I got for this awesome podcast. So anyway, until next time adios and be cool.
