Casinomeister's Verdict

Vinyl Casino leaves a good first impression, with a standout design, lots of payment methods, and a comprehensive selection of games on offer, but there’s also a lot of downsides players need to be aware of.

In short, the bonus terms are quite unfavorable with a 70x wagering requirement on your deposit, non-existent responsible gaming features, and the casino only has an Anjouan license that they go out of their way to hide for some reason. On top of that, the operator is very likely a continuation of the Rabidi N.V. operation, which doesn’t have a great reputation among players. However, it remains to be seen how these brands fare in the future.

The bottom line is, until the casino improves its terms or demonstrates a more conscientious approach to player complaints, we can only recommend caution to anyone who decides to play here. For more information, read our full Vinyl Casino review below.

From the Desk of Max Drayman

While Vinyl Casino has no immediate record in our Player Arbitration (PAB) service there is a fairly consistent record of player difficulties both here on our forums and elsewhere. Although their licensing is now Anjouan, they don’t mention that in public and won’t answer questions about it. Last but not least, a few of their sister casinos within the Rabidi group — now rebranded to NovaForge — have been through the complaints process at Casinomeister and not done well, largely for ignoring player complaints. It remains to be seen if they’ll change their ways, so exercise caution if you choose to play here.

First Impression

At first glance, Vinyl Casino definitely stands out from the crowd, with its retro theme and predominantly beige color scheme. It’s neatly organized and pleasant to look at, but there were also a couple of concerning things about it from the get-go.

Most notably, the casino seems to be hell-bent on hiding their licensing information under the rug. They’re listed in Anjouan’s register, but they don’t display a certificate and support is apparently not allowed to discuss the subject. They’re owned by NovaForge Ltd which has over 100 casinos listed under its license, most of which used to be operated by the now-defunct Rabidi N.V., which is a bit concerning, as the company doesn’t exactly have a shining reputation.

BONUSES AND PROMOTIONS

The casino has a decent selection of bonuses, although the terms leave a lot to be desired. There’s an unimpressive welcome bonuses with high wagering requirements, a lot of minor promotions that seem to be updated on the regular, and a coin shop where players can exchange credits for free spins or bonus cash.

Vinyl Casino Welcome Bonus

The welcome bonus at Vinyl Casino includes two bonuses, and you have to pick one or the other at signup.

The first is a 100% match up to $500 on your first deposit, as well as 200 Free Spins and 1 bonus crab — a claw machine where you stand to win prizes in shop coins or bonus money. The bonus comes with a 35x wagering requirement on the deposit + bonus amount, meaning you have to wager your deposit a whopping 70 times. You also only have 10 days to meet this wagering requirement, so this is far from the best welcome bonus out there.

The alternative welcome bonus is 10% cashback for live casino games up to $200. It has to be wagered at least once before it can be withdrawn and must be claimed manually via support within 48 hours of your deposit. It’s not a bad bonus in itself, but somewhat underwhelming as a welcome offer.

If you decide to play at this casino and claim a welcome bonus, be sure to read the terms carefully, as there seem to be some “gotcha” terms that some people may unknowingly break (e.g., legitimate betting strategies being branded as bonus abuse). If you’re looking for a better deal, you may want to check out our other online casino reviews instead.

No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers

Vinyl Casino has several ongoing free spins, reload, and cashback bonus offers:

  • Weekend Reload Bonus — 50% up to $700 + 50 Free Spins
  • Weekly Reload — 50 Free Spins with a deposit of at least $20
  • Live Cashback — 25% up to $200
  • Weekly Cashback — Up to 15% up to $3000 (based on VIP level)

These promos seem to change often, but the terms are generally not much better than what’s mentioned above with the welcome bonus. So, if you want to use any of the offers currently on the site, be sure to read the bonus terms there as well as the general bonus terms.

There’s also the bonus shop — your account is awarded coins equal to 5% of each deposit, 1 coin for each $100 wagered, and you can win coin prizes through tournaments. The coins can then be used to buy bonuses such as free spins for specific games, bonus cash, or bonus crabs where you stand to win any of these rewards — coins included.

This is an interesting setup, but the value Vinyl Casino offers here is dubious at best, given that coins are expensive to begin with, all bonuses are subject to a 40x wagering requirement, and winnings are capped at 5x the awarded amount up to $100. Besides, anyone who makes a $1000+ deposit should get a proper high roller bonus, not 50 shop coins to spend on $5 bonus cash.

VIP and Loyalty Programs

The VIP setup at Vinyl Casino is expectedly underwhelming. There are 5 VIP levels you can attain: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. However, the progression is needlessly convoluted and non-transparent.

They don’t share much info on the site, and based on what I got from support, it’s dependent on your overall activity, how many bonuses you claimed, and your deposit/withdrawal ratio in the 90 days prior to a withdrawal request. Best of all, if you go a month without placing any bets, you get bumped down to the lowest level.

The only notable benefits are increased withdrawal limits (starting with Silver) and extra cashback offers (starting with Gold). Everything apart from that is the usual “personalized offers” and “personal VIP managers” where you’re just taking them at their word they’ll give you something good after you give them enough money.

All in all, it’s all the things I don’t want to see in a VIP program: unclear leveling progression, lackluster rewards, and an exploitative edge that pushes people to keep playing or lose their benefits. The only thing that could partly salvage it is if the leveling was cheap, but given the coin shop dynamics, yeah I’d say that’s not the case.

Banking & Payment Methods

The broad selection of payment methods is easily one of the best things about Vinyl Casino. There’s a range of fiat and cryptocurrency payment options, and you can filter payment methods by country and currency.

For fiat deposits, the casino supports VISA, Mastercard, paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller, Jetonbank, MiFinity, CashToCode, Rapid Transfer, and direct bank transfer.

Supported cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin, Ripple, Tether, and USD Coin. They also support Binance Pay. Overall, a solid selection of cryptocurrencies, even if it’s not quite what you can find at the leading crypto casinos.

Minimum deposits start at $10 and maximum deposits go up to $5,000, depending on payment method. It’s also worth noting that Skrill and Neteller are explicitly excluded from many bonuses, but this can vary.

Vinyl Withdrawal Speed

Most of the deposit methods are also available for withdrawals, and such flexibility is always welcome. However, withdrawals aren’t the fastest, as they take up to 3 business days, and there are no weekend withdrawals.

On top of that, the withdrawal limits are quite low — non-VIP members can only withdraw $500 per day or $7,000 per month, which is ridiculously low. The monthly limits do increase to $10,000, $12,000, $15,000, and $20,000 if you level up through the VIP program but that doesn’t really mean much, considering the way the VIP program works.

Responsible Gaming

You won’t find anything meaningful on the responsible gaming front here. The casino’s responsible gaming page is the usual explanation of what the concept is, how you can play responsibly, a checklist that can help players determine if they have a problem, and links to external organizations such as Gamblers Anonymous and Gambling Therapy. This is all fine and good, they’re doing the bare minimum on that front, but then there’s their self-exclusion policy.

You can “self-exclude” via support for any period of time, at least from what support told me. However, they explicitly state in their terms that it’s the player’s sole responsibility to not open additional accounts, and that they won’t be held accountable for any losses you suffer on other accounts after self-excluding.

So, essentially, they’ll just block your original account, they don’t guarantee you’ll be excluded from playing at their casino, and they reserve the right to keep your money if they see you trying to bypass your decision to self-exclude. What a joke.

Customer Support at Vinyl Casino

My experience with customer support at Vinyl Casino was… interesting. To start off, the only support channels available are email and live chat. The live chat is available 24/7, there’s usually a queue but not a long one.

Agents were quick to answer general questions but trying to get answers for anything terms-related was borderline impossible. Some of the agents did put in genuine effort to try and help but others would basically tell me to “just read the terms,” even when I approached them from a position of a confused player asking for clarifications.

The best part was the licensing info, which they simply refused to share. They tried avoiding any inquiries on that subject in a variety of ways, even blowing me off at one point by telling me to write them an email that they never replied to.

Overall, the experience was a bit of a hit-and-miss. Some agents are polite and helpful, others, not so much. On the upside, there’s a comprehensive FAQ in the help centre that covers all sorts of issues players might experience, so with some luck, you might not need to rely on support for basic stuff.

KYC

The verification process at Vinyl Casino is about what you’d expect. The process starts at the casino’s discretion, which usually means your first withdrawal request. You’ll need to provide personal ID, proof of residence, proof of payment, and more, if they feel it’s necessary. The entire process usually takes up to 10 days.

That said, you can’t play anonymously, and it’s always a good idea to complete the KYC process before making a deposit — just to avoid potential headaches if you make big wins and they decide to make your life difficult.

Vinyl Casino Experience and Features

The design of the Vinyl Casino website is quite clean and unique. On the practical side of things, it could hardly be better — the home page gives you a quick look at popular games as well as the games you recently played, and all important sections of the casino are found in the collapsible side bar. Here, you’ll also find separate tabs for ongoing promotions, tournaments, the coin shop, your VIP status, and more.

The design choices are what really makes the site stand out — the musical theme makes it aesthetically distinct, as most casinos go for the “sleek-and-modern” design nowadays. It also doesn’t sacrifice functionality for style, as it’s quite clean and there’s basically no clutter to speak of.

Desktop and Mobile Gaming

The site works quite well on mobile too, as both the layout and the design adapt well to a smaller screen. It’s easy to use, all the thumbnails are just the right size, and most of the games I tested displayed perfectly in portrait mode. However, you’ll still need to switch to landscape for some of them.

There’s no dedicated mobile app, sadly, but the site is more than good enough, so playing games on phones or tablets is hassle-free.

Brand games

Vinyl Casino Game Providers

There are 90+ providers available at Vinyl Casino at the time of writing. You can easily browse all of them from the casino section and see exactly how many games each provider offers. Many recognizable names immediately stick out, including NetEnt, Playtech, Pragmatic Play, Spinomenal, Microgaming, Spribe, BGaming, Evolution Gaming, and Yggdrassil. However, there are also many smaller providers, so you might find something new.

Vinyl Casino Slots

You’ll find thousands of slots at Vinyl Casino, and they’re neatly organized, too. You can browse slots by provider, or narrow down your selection by several categories, although they’re not too meaningful. You can check out new additions, popular titles, or top slots picked by the casino.

Sadly, you can’t narrow down your selection by game type. With this many slots on offer, it would be helpful to have specific categories for megaways, high volatility slots, games with bonus buy features, and the like. Sadly, there’s only a special category for jackpots and table games, and that’s it.

Live Casino

The live casino section is organized a bit better, as you can easily browse games by category: roulette, blackjack, game shows, baccarat, dice games, and poker. There’s also a separate category for international tables in other languages.

Browsing is a bit of a hassle since you can’t narrow games by type and provider at the same time. If you’re searching by provider, you can’t limit the selection to only live games or specific categories of live games. Not a big issue if you know what you’re looking for, but it can make browsing difficult for newer players.

About the Vinyl Casino Team and History

Vinyl Casino was founded in 2023 and it used to be owned by Rabidi N.V. but it seems it was since acquired by NovaForge Ltd. It used to hold the Antillephone license (Curacao Master License 8048/JAZ, now discontinued) but the casino’s current licensing situation is weird, to say the least.

The casino seems to currently hold the Anjouan license issued to the operator (no. ALSI-152406028-FI2) and is listed in the regulator’s license register. However, Vinyl Casino doesn’t display a certificate or mention the license anywhere on their site. Support also wouldn’t share any information about the license either, and they’d either avoid the questions or flat out say they’re not allowed to share the information.

I really can’t think of a reason why an online casino would go out of their way to obfuscate their license and risk people seeing them as an unlicensed operation, but it is what it is.

Complaints and Track Record

We’ve had no direct complaints against Vinyl Casino so far, but we did have issues with some of Vinyl’s sister casinos that were unresponsive to player complaints. Now, the brands formerly owned by Rabidi N.V. might turn a new leaf under new management (if it really is new management), but it remains to be seen how the situation develops. If you’re worried about running into issues, it’s best to consider one of our accredited casinos.
