Casinomeister’s Verdict

There’s a lot of positive things to say about Trips Casino — they have a solid selection of games, about 20+ payment methods (fiat and crypto), responsive 24/7 support, and a surprisingly good set of responsible gaming tools.

The most important thing to note is that the casino has recently changed ownership and licensing jurisdiction. So, while it has always been reliable in the past, it remains to be seen if the new operator will stick to the straight and narrow.

From the Desk of Max Drayman

A quick poke around Novatrix SRL properties shows few, if any complaints. The licensing body is Tobique — a relatively new first-nations jurisdiction in Canada — which pops up from time to time but thus far no solid record to base an opinion on. The casino name might sound familiar because they used to have a big-brand Curaçao-based owner but that’s apparently no longer the case. As ever with casinos that have recently undergone big management changes, we advise players to proceed with caution and keep an ear out for any reports of players having troubles.

Pros

  • Pros Solid variety of games
  • Pros 20+ payment options (fiat and crypto)
  • Pros Full set of responsible gaming tools
  • Pros 24/7 live chat support

Cons

  • Cons High wagering requirements on bonuses
  • Cons Website could be more intuitive
  • Cons 3x wagering requirements for deposits

Trips Casino Bonuses and Promotions

Trips Casino definitely doesn’t skimp on bonuses. They’ve got everything and anything, including welcome bonuses, cashback offers, and free spins. Yet, it’s important to note that not all games are eligible for wagering, so whichever casino bonus you’re eyeing, take a look at their list of non-qualifying games first.

VIP and Loyalty Programs

The VIP program at Trips Casino is structured into 10 levels, starting at zero. Players earn status points at a rate of 1 point per $25 wagered, which is lower than many other casinos. As such, it makes the VIP program worthwhile even at lower levels, and the rewards include free spins and bonus cash. These come with 25x and 3x wagering requirements respectively.

At higher levels, players get a personal manager, as well as monthly or weekly cashback. As it usually goes, however, these are available only to long-time players who end up wagering upwards of $200,000 at the casino. Overall, this is a fair VIP program, especially combined with the ongoing promotions. It’s nothing spectacular, but the rewards are good enough even at lower levels to reward returning players.

Banking & Payment Methods

Trips Casino boasts a comprehensive selection of payment methods, including VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, Neosurf, Skrill, Neteller, Payz, MuchBetter, MiFinity, CashToCode, AstroPay, Directa 24, Siru Mobile, iDebit, and Pay4Fun, and direct bank transfer. The per-transaction limits on both deposits and withdrawals range from $20 to $4000.

If you prefer cryptocurrencies, you’ll be happy to see the casino also supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin, and Tether. This isn’t an amazing selection as leading crypto casinos tend to have many more altcoins available, but some crypto is better than no crypto. There are no maximum deposit limits, while the minimums are expressed in each respective cryptocurrency.

Overall, this is a great, varied selection of payment methods that should cover most players’ needs. Sadly, no PayPal or Trustly, but such is life with offshore jurisdictions.

Trips Casino Withdrawal Speed

Most of the deposit methods are also available for withdrawals, and that’s always a good thing. The exact withdrawal times vary based on method used — eWallets and cryptocurrencies are the fastest and can be near-instant, while withdrawals to cards or banks can take anywhere from 3 to 7 days.

The maximum limit per-transaction hovers around $4000, but there is also a $7500 withdrawal limit per week and $15,000 per month, and any larger withdrawals may be paid out in installments. This is quite mediocre as far as withdrawal limits go, though the average player shouldn’t find it too restrictive.

Also, keep in mind that each deposit has to be wagered at least 3 times before a withdrawal can be made, and if players don’t meet this wagering requirement, their withdrawal may be subject to a fee at the casino’s discretion. I’m not a fan of this rule, especially without a transparent fee table.

Responsible Gaming

It’s always nice to see a casino go beyond the bare minimum when it comes to responsible gaming, and Trips Casino definitely did. The responsible gaming page provides some useful resources for players, but the highlight is the comprehensive set of responsible gaming tools.

Namely, you can set several types of limits to keep your bankroll in check: wagers, losses, and deposits. These limits can also be set on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. On top of that, there are also several tools to limit your play time: a session timer, a short-term cool-off period ranging from 1 day to 6 months, and long-term self-exclusion that can last up to a year.

The only real improvement I would’ve liked to see is a higher maximum limit on the self-exclusion, but otherwise, the situation is about as good as you can hope for an offshore casino.

Customer Support at Trips Casino

customer Support

You can reach customer support at Trips Casino via contact form, email, or 24/7 live chat. Each of these contact channels is about as responsive as you’d expect — they replied to my emails no later than 24 hours, and live chat was always the fastest way to reach out.

When you open the live chat, you are first met by Trips Bot who will walk you through a comprehensive set of potential inquiries before patching you through to an agent as necessary. There were never any wait queues and all the agents I talked to were helpful with any questions I had. Overall, quick and precise customer support, no more, no less.

KYC

In terms of KYC, it’s more or less what you’d expect — the casino reserves the right to conduct the verification procedure prior to approving withdrawals, and will require a personal ID, proof of address, proof of deposit, or more at the casino’s discretion. The procedure has to be completed within 2 weeks, which is time enough.

However, it’s always a good idea to submit the required documents and verify your account ahead of time, just to avoid potential complications when the time comes to cash out. You can start the KYC process yourself by navigating to the Verification tab on your profile page, which details exactly what you can submit for each field.

Trips Casino Experience and Features

Overall, the design of Trips Casino is a bit rough around the edges. The minimalist theme and the dark blue color palette work in its favor, but the layout can be a bit counterintuitive at times.

For example, the side bar only has shortcuts to your account settings, payments, and favorite games. I usually expect to see promotions or different casino sections listed here as well, as it’s a very practical way to provide an overview of the site. There’s a “secret” side bar that’s only visible after you start up a game, and it leads you to a few sections that are not listed anywhere else, such as new games, recently played, and tournaments.

That said, the UX here isn’t terrible, but it can be made a lot more intuitive and user-friendly with a few tweaks here and there.

Desktop and Mobile Gaming

The mobile experience at Trips Casino is a bit here-and-there. There’s no dedicated app but the mobile site is actually a little more intuitive than the desktop version, and all thumbnails fit neatly on a smaller screen.

However, the promotional banners didn’t display properly for me. More importantly, when launching games, portrait mode just crams the desktop UI onto a much smaller screen, which is never a good time. Still, the site works smoothly, though you’ll likely want to switch to landscape until they tweak the UI a bit for mobile devices.

Brand Games

Trips Casino Game Providers

At the time of writing, the casino has about 50 providers available on the site. This is a bit low compared to many other casinos, but a good selection nonetheless. You’ll find several industry-leading names, such as BGaming, Spinomenal, Quickspin, Play’n GO, Pragmatic Play, and NetEnt, along with a number of smaller providers like Electric Elephant and Bullshark Games.

Trips Casino Slots

There are thousands of slot games to choose from at Trips Casino, and there’s several notable subcategories. These include bonus buy games, jackpots, table games, and a special section for games such as Spribe’s Aviator or BGaming’s Minesweeper. You can also narrow down each subcategory further by provider, which makes browsing even easier.

There are also sections for recently played games, newly added titles, and favorites. However, those are only visible from a side bar that shows up after you start up a game, so it’s a tad counterintuitive to not have those sections easily accessible from the main casino page.

Live Casino

The live dealer games section has a good selection of games from Pragmatic Play, Evolution, and BetGames. You’ll find a comprehensive set of games and variants, including blackjack, baccarat, roulette, dice games, game shows, and more.

The main downside here is the lack of search tools, since you can’t really narrow games down by type, only provider. Obviously, this isn’t a big issue if you know what you’re looking for. However, if you’re looking for something new or browsing in general, scrolling past 100 blackjack rooms while trying to go over available roulette tables is hardly ideal UX.

About the Trips Casino Team and History

Trips Casino was established in early 2024, originally run by Dama N.V. under a Curacao license. The site has changed hands since, and it’s now operated by Novatrix SRL with licenses from the Tobique Gaming Commission and Anjouan. It’s important to note we don’t yet have first-hand experience with the operator and the licenses are as flimsy as it gets, so we recommend caution until we have a concrete reason to believe Trips Casino will remain reliable under the new management.

Complaints and Track Record

We’ve had no complaints against Trips Casino at Casinomeister so far, and we’ve found no major issues on other sites. Given that it’s been around for almost a year, that’s a good sign. It remains to be seen how the new operator handles future complaints.
