Casinomeister's Verdict

Shiny Wilds is an online casino with a sleek design, a great selection of slots and live games, excellent bonus terms, very high withdrawal limits, and even some extra responsible gaming tools on top of what’s required by their license.

However, the main drawbacks to this online casino are its lackluster selection of payment methods for fiat currencies and remarkably slow support with limited working hours. Most importantly, while we haven’t had any complaints about them, we’ve found a couple of unresolved complaints on other services.

That said, players should exercise caution until we have strong reason to believe Shiny Wilds is shifting to a more responsible approach to complaints resolution. If you have any experience with this online casino (good or bad), let us know in the forum.

From the Desk of Max Drayman

We have no record of complaints or problems with Shiny Wilds on Casinomeister, which is generally a good thing: “no news is good news” being the guiding principle here. The casino is licensed in Curaçao which is not nothing, and there are no sister casino problems that we’re aware of. So far nothing to worry about.

When it comes to their Complaints procedure though things are not so great. After the usual process of contacting support to solve your issue(s), they say that if the problems persist the player “may escalate the matter to higher levels of management or utilize alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, such as independent mediation services or regulatory authorities in Curaçao, as outlined in our policies.” There is no such “outline” in their policies, so it’s not at all clear what “independent mediation services’ they might be referring to.

FWIW we’re seeing this a lot lately: casinos say “you can take your complaint to such-and-such mediators listed on the site” and they provide no such listing. This appears to be their way of saying “there are no mediation services we’ll accept” because that’s certainly what those casinos say when we try to contact them. Anyway, specific to Shiny Wilds, they do end their Terms with “Our decision is final,” which should give comfort to absolutely no one.

On a final note, we saw Shiny Wilds had a couple of unresolved complaints on other services (recent too), so exercise caution if you play here.

BONUSES AND PROMOTIONS

It’s quality over quantity when it comes to bonuses at Shiny Wilds — there’s only one bonus in the form of a welcome offer, but it comes with rather appealing terms. There are no other casino bonuses apart from that, unless you count the questionable VIP program.

Shiny Wilds Welcome Bonus

The Shiny Wilds casino welcome bonus package that includes two deposit bonuses:

  • First deposit bonus: 100% up to $500 + 100 Free Spins for Wind Walker OR Ugliest Catch
  • Second deposit bonus: 100% up to $500 + 150 Free Spins for Book of Fallen OR True Kult

The free spins slots are all hovering around the 94% RTP mark, which is disappointing, but the good thing is the free spins winnings are completely wager-free. The bonus money wagering is just 30x the bonus amount, which is great — some of the lowest we’ve seen in a while.

Moreover, there’s a separate welcome bonus for crypto deposits, with only two key differences: you get only 50 free spins per deposit and the wagering requirement is slightly higher at 40x the bonus amount. Still, it’s a very good offer.

The minimum deposit is set at $20 for both options, the free spins winnings are capped at $150, and there’s a handful of restricted games, but nothing else that really stuck out in the bonus terms. As always, terms are prone to change, so always be sure to go over them carefully.

No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers

At the time of writing, Shiny Wilds doesn’t have any no deposit bonuses or additional free spins offers. In fact, the selection comes down to just the welcome offer at the time of writing, so this is unlikely to be the right stop if you prefer varied and recurring casino bonuses. They seem to set up the occasional tournament, but that’s about it.

VIP and Loyalty Programs

The Shiny Wilds casino VIP/loyalty program is split into two parts, and it’s expectedly vague, like many other offshore casino reviews we’ve had recently.

The loyalty program (or “The Wilds Hunt,” as they call it) is a 12-level progression scheme. You play, accumulate Loyalty points, and you get access to progressively better weekly cashback. You can see your progress and how many Loyalty points you need for the next level, but nothing on how much you need to wager per Loyalty point.

The VIP program is unrelated to the loyalty points, and it simply falls to the casino’s discretion to invite players to join. The benefits are the usual promises of exclusive bonuses, increased withdrawal limits, faster withdrawal speeds, and a personal account manager.

Sadly, there are no concrete numbers, so while it looks good on paper, there’s no real way to test these programs or judge the value they offer.

Banking & Payment Methods

The fiat deposit options at Shiny Wilds are sadly a bit limited, as it only supports Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut, Interac, and MiFinity. As usual, not all of these methods are available for withdrawals, so you may need to withdraw to your bank instead. We were hoping to at least see popular e-wallets like Skrill or Neteller, so if you play using fiat currencies, you’ll have to make do.

The selection of cryptocurrencies is better, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin, Chainlink, Cardano, Tron, USDT, USDC, and Algorand. It was a bit weird to see Algorand here but not some of the much more popular altcoins like Dogecoin or Solana. While it’s a solid selection, you may want to check out other crypto casinos if your choice alt is missing.

Now, the casino makes up for its limited fiat withdrawal methods with great limits. You can withdraw as much as $50,000 per month, which can only get higher if you become a VIP member. They claim to process withdrawals within 48 hours, though they don’t really commit to anything in the terms.

The KYC procedure is also not mandatory before withdrawals, but there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to cash out without it since it’s left to the casino’s discretion. Fortunately, you can take care of it at any point by submitting a personal ID, proof of address, and video ID through your account’s verification page.

Responsible Gambling

Shiny Wilds has your run-of-the-mill responsible gaming page: an overview of what responsible gambling is, along with some tips on how to play responsibly. More importantly, they inform the players about the various responsible gaming tools on the site, which include:

  • Deposit limits (daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • Cool-off period (24 hours)
  • Self-exclusion

Deposit limits can be set via your account page, while self-exclusion has to be requested via email. It’s always good to see a casino go beyond the bare minimum on this front, even if only slightly so. Our top-rated online casinos usually have even more useful tools, but we won’t be splitting hairs here.

Customer Support at Shiny Wilds

The Shiny Wilds customer support is available via email and live chat, although the live chat is only available from 10 AM to 11 PM CET. These working hours might be quite inconvenient, depending on your location, and there isn’t much in the way of self-help resources either. You’ll only find a basic FAQ section tucked away in the “Help” section of the live chat window, and that’s about it.

Whenever we talked to support, the experience wasn’t exactly ideal. We frequently ran into long queues (from which we were often dropped), and even basic inquiries about the casino’s terms frequently took upwards of 15 minutes. The medal goes to the 40-minute back and forth we had about the VIP/loyalty program.

All in all, the limited live chat hours are problematic enough, but the whole concept loses its purpose if you constantly have to sit and wait for a response. Unless you have something urgent, you’re probably better off sending them an email.

Shiny Wilds Casino Experience and Features

Shiny Wilds features a simple and functional design, with a predominantly dark blue theme and clear layout. There’s a top bar that lets you quickly get to all important sections of the casino, with ready access to deposits and your account. The user experience is mostly solid, and we were happy to see we could also filter games by volatility when searching the catalogue.

There’s no dedicated Shiny Wilds mobile app, but the mobile version of the site is actually optimized quite well. It comes across as a bit cramped compared to the desktop site, but it’s still clean and easy to navigate with the help of a bottom bar and the collapsible sidebar. Every section is no more than two taps away, and all the games we tested worked well. Of course, you might always come across games that aren’t optimized for mobile, but that’s a provider issue.

Brand games

Shiny Wilds Casino Game Providers

There’s over 120 providers at Shiny Wilds, with lots of familiar names that immediately stick out: BGaming, Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Spribe, and many others. And if you’re looking for lesser-known providers to try out, you’ll likely find it here. You can browse all providers by clicking on the (somewhat unintuitive) cog icon in the search bar.

Shiny Wilds Slots

Shiny Wilds has a great selection of slots on the site, with separate sections for megaways and slots with bonus buy features. There are additional sections for popular titles and new additions, plus the search function also lets you filter slots by volatility and provider. In short, the casino has a great selection of slots, and solid search functionality that makes it easy to find what you’re looking for.

Live Casino

You’ll find hundreds of live dealer games at Shiny Wilds, from several recognizable providers: Pragmatic Play Live, Evolution Gaming, Ezugi, CreedRoomz, and others. There’s blackjack, baccarat, roulette, poker, roulette, various game shows, and more.

On the downside, while there’s a lot of games to choose from, there’s no convenient way to browse them. There are no subcategories for live games and you can’t limit your search to the live casino only, unless you’re searching by individual providers. Hopefully there will be some UX improvements in the future.

About the Shiny Wilds Team and History

Shiny Wilds launched in 2023, and it seems to be the only casino operated by HNA Gaming B.V. The company is currently in the application process for the Curaçao GCB license (no. OGL/2024/1191/0663). It’s a small operator and the casino doesn’t have a notable footprint, so the only things that stuck out were the fact they process payments via a subsidiary in Cyprus, and their complaints track record — more on that below.

Complaints and Track Record

We’ve had no complaints about Shiny Wilds at Casinomeister, and the site has no sister casinos. We did find several complaints on other complaints resolution services, however. There are very few complaints overall, which is normally a good sign for any casino that’s been around for a few years. However, there are several glaring unresolved complaints, and that’s not exactly a good sign.

They seem to pick and choose which complaints they reply to and which they ignore, so you have no guarantee you’ll be treated fairly here. If you’re worried about running into complaints-related issues, you’re better off taking a look at some of the Casinomeister-certified casinos instead.
