Casinomeister's Verdict

Karamba is a brand that has been around for two decades now, and those who decide to play here can enjoy a broad selection of payment methods, an excellent set of responsible gaming features, and highly responsive live chat support that’s available around the clock.

It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, though, as the selection of live games seems quite limited compared to other online casinos, and the site itself suffers from some dated and questionable design decisions. If you can get past that and the operator’s subpar handling of complaints in the past, then there’s no reason not to give Karamba a go.

From the desk of Max Drayman

Ah, now there is a casino name I’ve seen too often before. Back in the day they were part of the Aspire Global group which I think won a big raspberry award from us at Casinomeister a few years back. Be that as it may, Karamba is now listed as being “managed” by White Hat Gaming which is … better, if not wonderful. WHG has something like 50 or 60 casinos under its banner and I’m sorry to say that a fair percentage of them — 20? 30? — have had complaints over the years, which WHG has pretty much universally ignored, or at least they ignore us.

To be fair the players often do end up seeing some sort of resolution to their issues but the process isn’t helped (in the least!) by the WHG “talk to the hand” habits. Licensing is now Malta and the UKGC which shows that they are taking that part seriously. I would be remiss if I left readers with the impression that this is a terrible casino, because it isn’t. They’re not very communicative and tend toward unconstructive aloofness but players are not being treated unusually badly and issues do appear to get resolved in the end. Players could find worse places to spend their money.

First Impression

At a glance, Karamba comes across as your typical to-the-point online casino with very little fluff. The site is clutter-free, with a cool theme that mostly focuses on white and shades of blue, so it’s a decent first impression as far as the visuals are concerned. The UX could be better though, as we quickly noticed some weird layout choices — mostly minor, counterintuitive things that add up as you go.

Something else that also stuck out was the fact Karamba is a real veteran of the industry, having originally launched in the mid-2000s. But as it usually goes, it changed hands since then, and is now under the management of White Hat Gaming Limited. In our experience, the operator raises no major red flags apart from a less-than-stellar record in regards to complaints responsiveness. They hold licenses from the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority, so that was good to see.

Pros

  • Great selection of payment methods

  • Excellent set of responsible gaming tools

  • 24/7 live chat support

  • Strong licensing (UKGC + MGA)

Cons

  • Limited selection of live games

  • High wagering requirement on the welcome bonus

  • Some dated design and clunky features

BONUSES AND PROMOTIONS

Karamba has a relatively small but straightforward bonus lineup, consisting of a welcome bonus and some ongoing offers.

Karamba Exclusive Bonus

At the moment, Karamba also has an exclusive bonus offer for Casinomeister players, and you’ll find it’s more worthwhile than their standard welcome offer. See the card below for the details:

Karamba Welcome Bonus

The welcome offer at Karamba looks solid at a glance: they offer a 100% match up to £100 + 20 Free Spins.

This is a decent matching offer, and the free spins can be used on Big Bass Splash (96.7% RTP), so that all looks good. What doesn’t look good is the 35x wagering requirement on the bonus + deposit amount, meaning you have to wager your deposit a whopping 70 times before you can cash out your winnings. With the deposit match maxing out at only £100, it’s a very underwhelming combo.

If you’re looking for higher deposit matches or just higher maximums, be sure to check out some high roller bonuses instead, as you’ll likely find more generous offers.

No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers

Karamba doesn’t have any no-deposit offers or free spins bonuses outside the welcome offer. We’ll be sure to update the review if they add any, and you can always let us know in the forum if you spot any noteworthy new bonuses.

In the meantime, Karamba players can take advantage of a weekly reload bonus: 100% up to £100. This bonus is available every Monday with a minimum deposit amount of £50, and the 35x wagering requirement applies to the bonus funds only. This makes the weekly reload bonus flat-out better than the one-time welcome offer — it’s not entirely unheard of, but definitely rare.

VIP and Loyalty Programs

At the time of writing, Karamba doesn’t have a VIP program. Most online casinos have some form of loyalty program to keep players engaged, be it a simple set of benefits or a progressive leveling scheme with various rewards and extra bonuses. Hopefully Karamba will implement something in the future, but  until then, the ongoing reload bonuses are the main incentive for returning players.

If you’re looking for a new place to play long term, you may want to check out some other online casinos and see if any of them have a loyalty program you find appealing.

Banking & Payment Methods

Karamba supports an impressive selection of payment methods, with VISA, Mastercard, Trustly, PaysafeCard, Revolut, Neosurf, Skrill, Neteller, and bank transfer all supported in the UK. If you’re in one of the other supported jurisdictions, you’ll also have access to PayPal, Interac, Rapid Transfer, AstroPay, MuchBetter, INSTADEBIT, MiFinity, Zimpler, Volt, and Siru Mobile.

Needless to say, this is an excellent set of options, with the expected lack of crypto as a deposit method. It was a bit disappointing to see PayPal wasn’t available for UK players, but there’s more than enough variety to make up for that.

Karamba Withdrawal Speed

Karamba doesn’t offer the fastest withdrawals, as they reserve the right to take up to 48 hours to review withdrawal requests. As usual, eWallets tend to be the fastest way to withdraw money, since withdrawals to debit cards can take a few days and bank transfers can take as long as 2 weeks.

There’s up to 15 withdrawal methods to choose from, depending on your location, so things look good overall. There are no withdrawal limits for UK players, but there is a $5,000 weekly withdrawal limit for players in other jurisdictions. This isn’t terrible but not exactly great either.

Responsible Gaming

One of the casino’s highlights are definitely its responsible gaming tools. They inform you about responsible gaming immediately upon signing up, and the dedicated policy page does a good job of explaining all the responsible gaming tools available on the site.

You can get easier access to these tools through your Karamba account page, and it’s a full set:

  • Deposit limit (daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • Reality check
  • Session timer
  • Clock-off
  • Time-out (1 day to 6 weeks)
  • Self-exclusion (6 months to 5 years)

The clock-off feature is something you don’t see often, and it lets you set up recurring exclusion during specific time windows on any given day. All in all, this is a great set of responsible gaming features that are unlikely to leave anyone wanting.

Customer Support at Karamba

Karamba customer support can be contacted via a contact form on the site, or via a 24/7 live chat. Availability was consistent throughout the week we spent testing the casino, and it was only during peak hours that we had to wait in queue. Even then, the wait was never longer than 10 minutes, so no complaints here.

Agents were exceedingly polite and helpful with any questions we had, and it’s always nice when you get patched through to an agent instantly, without having to slog through clunky bot prompts each time. There’s also a comprehensive FAQ section that covers a broad range of topics — everything from account-related issues to bonus and payment questions.

Overall, a very good look for Karamba’s customer support.

KYC

Karamba has a verification procedure in place, and it’s mandatory for all players before deposits can be made. Documents can be uploaded from your account page, and Karamba only requires a proof of identity and proof of address to verify your account.

That said, this isn’t a place for anonymous play. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’d be better off checking out some crypto casinos that offer more anonymity, or Trustly casinos that support Pay N Play.

Karamba Casino Experience and Features

Loading up Karamba’s site, it comes across as colorful, fresh, and bright. The graphics never get in the way of functionality, so it’s all good on that front. However, the layout is a bit counterintuitive in some segments. For example, the “Contact us” section makes no mention of the live chat, which is relegated to a single button on the right hand side.

Just the same, the browsing experience leaves a lot to be desired, as mentioned above. The casino is divided into the Casino, Live Casino, and Sports sections, but finding games can be a hassle due to limited subcategories and barebones search options that squish the results into an unnecessarily tiny window. Not to mention that the Search button blends so well with the logo that we questioned for a moment if the casino even had a search function.

On the upside, the “My Account” page neatly packages all the important information you’d expect to find on that page, but many parts of the site feel dated, and the UX could use some overall improvement.

Desktop and Mobile Gaming

Karamba doesn’t have a dedicated app, so players who prefer mobile have to make do with the web app. When you load it up, the casino looks mostly the same, but as with the desktop site — it needs work.

Some graphics don’t display properly — some clip over each other, and thumbnails sometimes fill up the whole screen. Then, there’s the staple of good UX in mobile casinos, the bottom bar, which feels like an afterthought at Karamba. It only provides shortcuts to the live chat, the responsible gambling policy page (for some reason), and a shortcut to your Karamba account page. Only, it doesn’t take you straight to the account page, and instead opens up a page where you can either go to your actual account page or the slots section. Why?

That said, the mobile app needs work, both in terms of user experience and overall design. Many of the pages give off a vibe we’d expect to see on an antivirus website from 2013, not an established online casino in 2025.

Brand games

Karamba Casino Game Providers

There’s about 100 game providers listed on Karamba at the time of writing, though some of them may be unavailable depending on your location — we quickly noticed that they list providers even when there’s zero games available from that provider, which is hardly a shining example of peak UX. Still, with this many providers, it goes without saying that you’ll find all the leading names such as Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, or NetEnt, as well as a lot of smaller providers you might not have encountered before.

Karamba Slots

With a great selection of providers comes a great selection of slots. The casino has separate sections for regular slots, jackpots, Drops & Wins, as well as additional sections for new and popular titles. This is a bit lacking as far as the browsing experience goes, especially given the limited search function.

There’s no convenient way to browse different types of slots (e.g., bonus buy, megaways, crash games, etc.) unless you’re searching for specific titles, so hopefully the casino will implement more categories and streamline the experience in the future.

Live Casino

The live casino section at Karamba is in a similar boat, with separate categories for roulette, blackjack, and poker. There’s nothing for baccarat or game shows, and there isn’t even an “All games” section where you might quickly skim everything in one place — questionable design choice, to say the least.

The section features popular games from established providers, including Pragmatic Play Live and Evolution Gaming, but the overall selection is quite slim, with only about 100 titles at the time of writing.

About the Karamba Team and History

The Karamba brand has been around for a long time, having originally launched all the way back in 2005. Today, it is owned by White Hat Gaming Ltd, and it operates with a UKGC license (account: 52894) and an MGA license (MGA/B2C/370/2017). Strong licensing is always good news, although the operator seems to have a very “hands-off” approach to player complaints, at least from our experience. However, there are no major red flags apart from that.

Complaints and Track Record

We’ve had some complaints against Karambra in the past while they were under different management, and quite a few against other White Hat brands. They seem to be very consistent in their lack of responsiveness, although issues seem to resolve themselves eventually, one way or another.

If potential complaints are a major point of concern for you, you may want to check out some of our Accredited casinos, as they all pass rigorous vetting and have proven track records.
