Casinomeister’s Verdict

CoinCasino is a flashy crypto casino that doesn’t hold up particularly well to interrogation. Credit where it’s due, the library is varied and well-organised, and the cashier is a sight to behold. The quick registration process ushers you through the casino’s doors as quickly as possible. But once you start poking around, some significant cracks start to appear.

The welcome bonus wagering requirements sit miles above the market average, and you’re only given a paltry two weeks to clear them. You’ve got to put down your life savings to get into the VIP programme, and it’s unclear what you’ll get in return if you manage to. The live chat support is hit-or-miss, some links are broken, there’s a dodgy fake app on the Google Play Store, and if you’re looking for responsible gambling tools — jog on.

Despite its failings, CoinCasino is targeted towards a very specific type of player — and there’s an (albeit small) chance that might be you. If you’re looking to shift niche cryptocurrencies, then the library of over 4,000 games might interest you. Plus, it has one of the strongest live catalogues I’ve seen at a crypto casino recently.

From the Desk of Max Drayman

Record of Complaints on Casinomeister: some old cases, nothing serious=good. Licensing: Anjouan = until Anjouan proves itself to be enforcing a well-defined Code of Conduct or Procedures, the result here is “no comment”. Self-exclusion: email only with no timeline specified = not good. Complaints policy: casino says to contact “our licensing body Gaming Services Provider N.V.,” which is the old Curaçao 365/JAZ Master License, which has been defunct for over two years now = bad. Net result: not great. In our opinion, the casino is guilty of laziness and sloppiness, at the very least. You’re taking your chances on this one.

Pros

  • Pros Comprehensive crypto lineup
  • Pros Quick registration
  • Pros 24/7 live chat support

Cons

  • Cons No responsible gambling tools except self-exclusion
  • Cons Harsh wagering requirements

CoinCasino Bonuses and Promotions

New players can expect some sort of high-percentage first deposit match. Welcome bonuses are subject to 60x wagering requirements, which is frankly absurd. The 14-day deadline adds insult to injury. All in, there’s absolutely no reason to claim one.

The casino runs separate welcome bonuses for crypto users. In my experience, these typically ask you for a three-figure financial commitment for a two-figure number of free spins and a deposit match. Put politely, plenty of crypto casinos offer better value.

The ‘Promotions’ page contains a rotating variety of ongoing deals, such as free spins packages, deposit bonuses and weekly bonuses, alongside information about network tournaments and daily prize drops. If you follow CoinCasino on social media, you might be offered a chance to enter a giveaway. If, that is, you can find them. More on that later.

Other bonuses have to be wagered 35x prior to withdrawal. Bang average. The only stand-out quality from the bonus terms is the €20 maximum bet limit. Most operators cap this at €5, so some high rollers might be tempted to give a CoinCasino bonus a chance.

The maximum amount you can convert into withdrawable cash is 10x the value of the bonus. I’ve seen bonuses capped significantly lower, but promotions without withdrawal limits aren’t too uncommon at top online casinos.

VIP and Loyalty Programme

CoinCasino’s VIP programme offers some competitive advantages, but it expects you to jump through a lot of hoops to get to them.

Your tier is determined by the total amount you’ve wagered. Usually, I like it when casinos don’t make you grapple with a confusing point system. But the amount of money this casino is asking for is absurd.

Players must put down $10,000 just to get on the ladder and unlock ‘Bronze’ status. This unlocks weekly cashback, monthly and weekly bonuses, and a level-up bonus. Not objectively bad, but unhelpfully vague. In order to reach the top tier, you’d need to cough up a staggering $25,000,000.

I reached out to support to find out how cashback works. They informed me that it’s calculated using the house edge of the games you play plus the ‘cashback percentage applicable to each player’s level.’ They were unable to elaborate on the percentage you unlocked with each level, and ultimately went on to say that the ‘percentage is not based on the level’. So I’m not really sure what’s going on there.

I’d steer clear of any VIP programme that can’t be upfront about what you’ll get in return for your loyalty. Especially one asking for the value of a small European castle.

CoinCasino allows eligible high rollers to transfer their VIP status from other casinos. If I were you, I’d just stay put.

CoinCasino Payment Options and Withdrawal Speed

The cashier allows you to choose between 32 fiat and cryptocurrencies. Any crypto-forward operator worth its salt will support big shots like Bitcoin and Ethereum, but CoinCasino extends its welcome to the very bottom of the barrel. If you’ve ever made the mistake of buying ‘DogWifHat,’ your time is now.

While crypto is clearly CoinCasino’s bread and butter, players can use five fiat deposit methods: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut. Casinos with Google Pay and Apple Pay streamline transactions for mobile players, which is particularly convenient since there isn’t a dedicated CoinCasino mobile app.

Unless you’re a crypto user, your withdrawal options are pretty dire. You’ll have to wait between three and seven days to receive your funds via bank transfer, and that’s after a pending period of up to 24 hours. Crypto payments, on the other hand, arrive within an hour of approval. CoinCasino doesn’t charge any deposit or withdrawal fees, which is something at least.

All deposits must be wagered once prior to withdrawal, which is a standard Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy. If you don’t fulfil this requirement, you’ll be charged an 8% fee (minimum €4).

Withdrawals start at €10, which is on the reasonable end of average. Fiat withdrawal limits are €4,000 per day, €10,000 per week, and €20,000 per month. CoinCasino is much more lenient with crypto users, who can withdraw up to €150,000 per month. I’m beginning to see who its favourite customers are.

Like all licensed operators, CoinCasino reserves the right to carry out Know Your Customer (KYC) checks. This might involve a verification call, or uploading a copy of your photo ID, proof of address or a selfie. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

CoinCasino Games

CoinCasino Game Providers

CoinCasino showcases games from 93 providers, which is an impressive assortment. This includes big names such as Play’n GO, VoltEnt, Novomatic, and Pragmatic Play. If you’re after slightly more niche titles, look to some of its boutique studios, including Clawbuster and Bullshark Games.

There’s also a ‘Providers’ tab to help you navigate through the 4,000+ library. However, the button is broken and doesn’t offer anything except an error message.

CoinCasino Originals powers all of the platform’s exclusive games. There’s a healthy balance between slots and table games, such as Blackjack Duel and Fortune Caravan.

CoinCasino Slots

I was impressed with the size, quality, and organisation of the CoinCasino slots library. The ‘Player Favourites’ and ‘Games of the Week’ banners are a good place to start. At the time of writing, these showcased classics such as Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead and Gates of Olympus Super Scatter.

There are dedicated banners for games with popular features, such as ‘Ways Games’, ‘Bonus Buy’ and ‘Cluster Slots.’ I’m used to ‘Jackpots’ and ‘Megaways’ tabs, but I like how CoinCasino highlights less mainstream mechanics as well.

Live Casino

CoinCasino’s live casino is one of its best features. It’s supplied by seven leading live casino providers, such as Playtech, Pragmatic Live, and ICONIC21. You can expect the usual suspects, including baccarat, blackjack, poker and roulette variants, and an entire separate tab for game shows such as Wheel of Fortune and War of Bets.

The selection goes beyond your usual suited-and-booted live dealer games. Sky Roulette and Port Roulette by Animo feature dealers with animated characters superimposed over them, which leads to a unique (albeit slightly ‘uncanny valley’) session.

CoinCasino Experience and Features

Creating a CoinCasino account the regular way is simple, but you can sign up faster via Google, Telegram, or WalletConnect.

The stand-out feature on the homepage is the live bets board. While a lot of casinos broadcast their biggest winners, CoinCasino lets you in on the losses as well. I’m a fan of this sort of thing, as it’s an interesting alternative to often-vague ‘Hot and Cold’ pages.

There’s no dedicated CoinCasino app, but you’re going to have to trust me on that. I found a suspicious-looking ‘Coin Casino’ app on the Google Play Store that uses a lot of the operator’s branding. Seeing as this has a PEGI rating of 3 and has been downloaded ‘1+’ times, I’d avoid this like the plague.

Support confirmed that there’s no CoinCasino app, but this isn’t really an issue since the mobile-optimised site works just fine. The high-contrast colour scheme pops on small screens, and the floating banners and live chat bubble make it easy to navigate around the site. Still, the casino might want to work on getting that dodgy app taken down.

Responsible Gambling

I like it when responsible gambling pages begin with a mission statement, or any sort of indication that a casino cares about its players. CoinCasino kicks off with a set of legal definitions, which sets the stage for the ton of ‘bare minimum’ that’s yet to come.

CoinCasino doesn’t offer any responsible gambling tools outside of self-exclusion, which is a baseline requirement of its Anjouan licence. There’s a link to a self-assessment questionnaire, but I’m not counting it because it was made by an external organisation.

Worse still, you can’t even access the self-exclusion options without reaching out to the customer service team. This should be immediately accessible to any player who thinks they might be at risk. Not locked behind a support interaction.

About the CoinCasino Team and History

CoinCasino is weirdly cagey about who owns it. There isn’t a name or licence number in the footer, which sets off alarm bells immediately.

I did some research, and it’s owned by Igloo Ventures SRL — who don’t exactly have a squeaky-clean reputation. One of its casinos, LuckyBlock, was issued a warning for operating gambling services overseas without a valid licence, and all of its platforms have been banned by the Swedish Gambling Authority for illegally targeting players.

CoinCasino operates under the Anjouan licence ALSI-142311005-FI2, which also doesn’t appear on the site. It’s a valid licence, hidden in the most suspicious-looking way possible.

Player Comments on CoinCasino

There aren’t too many CoinCasino player reviews in our forums. It’s only mentioned in one thread, and it’s pretty heated.

One user left a scathing review, calling CoinCasino a scam for confiscating their bonus winnings. It transpired that they had exceeded the maximum betting limit using bonus money (which was €5 at the time), meaning the casino was legally permitted to withhold the funds.

All in, it’s an open-and-shut case. I believe that casinos should enforce terms like this on a software level, but technically the operator didn’t do anything wrong.

Complaints and Track Record

At the time of writing this CoinCasino review, nobody has filed a complaint about this operator in our PAB system. This is always good news, so no notes here.

Customer Support at CoinCasino

Coin Casino offers 24/7 customer support via live chat and email.

Once you enter your email address, I was told I’d be connected in a moment. I was surprised to find that this was true, and was put through to an agent in under ten seconds. The strength of the FAQ page, which provides detailed information on topics such as currency conversions and transaction processing, might explain the short wait times.

The first time I reached out, I asked for the casino’s Instagram handle, since the ‘Promotions’ page states that users who follow their page gain access to giveaways. After a minute-long wait, I was told that my request had been forwarded to the relevant department, and that I’d be emailed with an update later. At the time of writing, I am yet to receive a response.

The representative was able to answer other questions about transaction fees and games, and offered exceptionally polite and professional service — even when they didn’t know the answers. CoinCasino’s support system has the foundations of an exceptional service. Hopefully the casino gives its staff better resources going forward.
