Casinomeister’s Verdict

Founded in 2011,1Bet has been knocking around the online casino scene for a hot minute. Over the years, it has split opinions. The 10,000+ game library is hard to fault in terms of size, quality and organisation, and those so inclined can claim a bonus every day of the week. To me, the standout quality is the 5% casino cashback, with no wagering attached.

That being said, I don’t like some aspects of 1Bet one bit. Every deposit needs to be wagered 5x prior to withdrawal, and there are a ton of sneaky ways the casino can add fees to both deposits and payouts. The VIP programme is as weak as it’s vaguely explained – and support wasn't able to make things any clearer. Finally, if you’re looking for clear responsible gambling tools, a decent FAQ page or a native mobile app, keep walking.

So, do the pros outweigh the cons? In short it depends. While 1Bet has all the trappings of a top casino, it suffers from a handful of small yet crucial failings I just can’t look beyond.

From the Desk of Max Drayman

Casinomeister has seen a few complaints against the casino, but they’re spread over the past decade or so, and nothing indicates any major areas of concern. Licensing is Anjouan, which is a big unknown as we wait to see how serious Anjouan is about publishing Licensee Rules of Conduct and enforcing those, not to mention their handling of player complaints submitted to them. The self-exclusion policy is a bit baffling: “email us, and we’ll respond within 60 days”. Clearly that’s something that got lost in translation because having to wait 60 hours for a Self-exclusion request to be processed is too long, never mind 60 days. As far as complaints go, they say players have “the right to seek arbitration,” which is nothing; at least they are acknowledging that arbitration may be necessary and (presumably) they’ll respect that. Overall, we’d say “proceed cautiously”, given that the “60 days” thing is a bit worrying; it would be wise to contact Support — test run a small issue, for instance, for proof of life — before you desperately need them.

Cons

  • Cons Unclear responsible gambling tools
  • Cons 5x wagering requirement on all deposits

1Bet Bonuses and Promotions

Typically, you’ll need to deposit €20 or more to qualify for a 1Bet welcome offer. While this isn’t too much of a demand, plenty of welcome bonuses at our accredited casinos require a smaller financial commitment.

30x wagering requirements seem reasonable at first, but I was disappointed to learn that these apply to both the deposit and the bonus amount. The 21-day expiry window isn’t the strictest I’ve seen, but, given the size of the requirements, an extra week wouldn’t go amiss.

1Bet’s standout promotion is the Lifetime Cashback. Every week, you’ll be awarded 5% wager-free cashback on your net casino losses, up to €5,000. I like that everyone gets the same percentage from day dot. At most casinos, you’ve got to accrue thousands in lifetime deposits before you’re even considered for a decent level of cashback.

1Bet platforms a range of tournaments and network promotions, which can be found in the ‘Promotions’ tab.

After the welcome offer, players can choose from a range of ongoing casino bonuses, including weekly reload deals and free spins packages. Players who join Telegram are promised exclusive deals, but given the number of standard ongoing promotions, I doubt it’s worth the extra notifications.

VIP and Loyalty Programme

1Bet’s ’VIP Club’ page is disappointing at best and, at worst, totally misleading.

The banner at the top displays bronze, silver, gold, and diamond membership cards, indicating that players who meet certain criteria can progress through a tiered system. Further down, the casino quietly mentions that access to the VIP Club is only granted by official invitation, and that there are a limited number of spaces.

When I contacted support to clear things up, the operator advised me to ‘keep playing’ and ‘someone at some time might reach out’. I asked if they could be more specific, and was advised to revisit the vague and confusing page I’d just come from.

While selected players receive appealing perks such as account management, sports tickets and higher payout limits, I highly doubt the 1Bet VIP Club is worth the uncertain path it takes to get there.

1Bet Payment Options and Withdrawal Speed

1Bet accepts deposits via Visa, Mastercard, Revolut, PaysafeCard, Skrill and seven cryptocurrencies. The selection of fiat withdrawal options is a little limited, with some deposit methods like Skrill not making the cut.

The casino carries out different levels of Know Your Customer (KYC) checks depending on your account activity. Most likely, you’ll just be asked to submit a photo ID, a selfie of you holding it, and a bank statement or utility bill.

Before your withdrawal request is accepted, brace yourself for a bit of a wait. Transactions can remain in a ‘pending’ state for up to 72 hours, which is pretty unambitious — particularly if your account is fully verified. Once approved, e-wallet payouts will arrive within a further 72 hours, and bank transfers can take between three and seven days. Debit card withdrawals aren’t supported at 1Bet, which is disappointing for an online casino that accepts Visa and Mastercard. As is often the case, crypto transactions are the fastest, consistently arriving within 24 hours.

While the cashier system is pretty standard, 1Bet’s withdrawal requirements are notably punitive. Players must wager all deposits at least five times before requesting a payout, which makes it fairly unlikely that any winnings will result in withdrawable cash funds. If you don’t meet this requirement, the casino will either cancel your transaction or charge you an 8% fee.

Speaking of 8% fees, you’ll also be hit with one if you request multiple withdrawals within a 30-day rolling period, which is pretty difficult to plan a long-term bankroll strategy around.

Even if you follow all the rules, additional deposit and withdrawal fees may apply, and some payment methods might be subject to currency exchange fees. The casino states that it absorbs transaction fees in ‘most cases’, but you might receive a pop-up detailing additional charges when you’re on the cashier screen.

Unless you’re told otherwise (presumably by the VIP department), you won’t be able to withdraw more than €5,000 within a seven-day period. Given the rollover requirement, I doubt you’d be doing this anyway. If this doesn’t deter high-level players, the €100,000 daily win limit might.

1Bet Games

1Bet Game Providers

1Bet’s game library is powered by 57 providers. This includes heavyweights such as Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO and Spinomenal, plus some slightly deeper cuts like Happy Duck and Shady Lady. You can filter games by studio, making it easy to navigate to developers you know you like (and avoid those you don’t).

1Bet Slots

Slots make up a considerable portion of 1Bet’s catalogue. I spent a while on the ‘Hot’ and ‘Cold’ game pages, which contain frequently updated banners showing how much a slot has been paying out. The ‘Megaways’ tab is particularly well stocked, containing 167 popular games such as The Dog House Megaways and Bonanza. I was pleasantly surprised to find that you can sort slots by volatility — although there’s no option to find any games less feisty than ‘Medium’.

The stand-out quality of the 1Bet slots catalogue is the 1Bet jackpot network. Four jackpots can be won across several participating games, such as Super Gummy Strike and The

Midnight Steamer Hold & Hit. If you opt in using the toggle at the top of the screen, €0.10 will be added to every spin to contribute to the pool.

Live Casino

1Bet’s live casino feels dynamic, exciting and inviting. I like the big banner previews of featured games, which function like trailers that link directly to the title. This is how I discovered Funky Time, a wheel-spin disco game with a sequined host who danced for the full duration of my session. No notes.

The library is sorted into five categories: Roulette, Blackjack, Game Shows, Baccarat and Poker. There’s one exclusive live casino game: 1Bet Blackjack, powered by leading live casino provider Evolution, which accepts bets from €5 to €10,000.

1Bet Casino Experience and Features

Despite its sullen grey exterior, the casino homepage feels so polished that I briefly forgot all the issues that compelled me to write this 1Bet casino review in the first place. I was pleasantly surprised that the animated icons don’t have a noticeable impact on the page loading speed.

There’s no native 1Bet app, but you can download the 1Bet mobile web app on Android devices. The high-contrast colour palette makes it easy to read text on mobile (even on tiny phones like mine), and the top banner makes it easy to switch between the casino and live casino. My only nitpick is that loading times take a bit of a hit on mobile, which was confirmed by a page speed test.

I didn’t have any issues with the mobile-optimised site — but if a native app is a baseline requirement for you, check out one of our other casino reviews.

Responsible Gambling

1Bet’s approach to responsible gambling is, to put it gently, unclear.

All I found in the ‘Responsible Gambling’ tab was a half-hearted self-assessment checklist. Alongside this and the tumbleweeds, there are some ice-cold takes about underage gambling and a list of external help resources. Not even links. Just a three-bullet list.

1Bet states that it may enforce restrictions such as deposit limits to protect at-risk players. When I asked support if I could have access to these tools, the agent made it clear that my safety was my responsibility. One rule for me and another for thee, I suppose.

Hoping to find the bright side of rock bottom, I checked out the self-exclusion options. Players can only self-exclude by emailing the support team, who can take up to ten business days to action the request. This tool should be immediately accessible, not locked behind a two-week waiting list.

When I reached out to learn more about self-exclusion, the operator couldn’t give me any concrete information. I was told that there’s ‘nothing to worry about’ and that, if I wanted to exclude, they’d ‘do [their] best’. All in all, it’s a lazy effort — even by Anjouan’s standards.

About the 1Bet Team and History

1Bet is owned and operated by Next Global Era Limited, a limited liability company registered in Belize — but this hasn’t always been the case.

Back in the day, 1Bet was the flagship brand of Bellona N.V. Somewhere along the way, it appears to have transferred all of its casinos (such as Dachbet, EmirBet and ZodiacBet) over to Next Global Era Limited.

Today, Next Global Era Limited operates 27 online casinos under the Anjouan licence number ALSI-102310002-FI5. The company is registered in Belize, but under certain jurisdictions it is registered in Cyprus. This likely won’t affect you at all, but it’s something to bear in mind if a dispute arises.

Player Comments on 1Bet

1Bet hasn’t been mentioned in our forums in around five years. Sometimes, no news is good news.

Back in 2020, one user was reportedly wrongfully accused of violating 1Bet’s promotion abuse policy. Here are the main things that went down:

Gryzonko: I have made a withdrawal request most of balance from 1bet. Few days later my account was closed , and 6262 euro of balance confiscated.

Gryzonko: 1Bet accused me to a violation of 1bet duplicated account policy, by using more than one 1bet account to “bypass system limitations”.

Gryzonko: The accusation was false, I never have a second account. I am 100% sure that no one else has logged into 1bet from my IP.

It’s important to note that this complaint came from when 1Bet operated under Bellona N.V.’s Curaçao licence (which no longer appears on the official register). There aren’t any 1Bet player reviews from Next Global Era Limited times on our forum — good or bad.

Complaints and Track Record

1Bet’s name appears a couple of times in our PAB over the years.

In 2025, we reached out to the casino regarding a customer’s responsible gambling-related issue. 1Bet never responded, which raised a few red flags.

Once again, this complaint came from when the casino operated under Bellona N.V.’s jurisdiction. I couldn’t find any complaints from recent years, which is a sign that Next Global Era Limited is moving 1Bet in the right direction.

Customer Support at 1Bet

Credit where credit’s due, 1Bet’s live chat service is available 24/7, and I was consistently connected to professional, polite agents within minutes of reaching out — even during peak hours. You’re given an estimate of how long you’ll wait, which I found accurate to the minute.

Unfortunately, it sometimes seems like the support agents don’t have much information to hand. I asked questions on a range of topics and was often met with vague responses or told to find the answers myself. The service was consistently polite and professional, but often of limited utility.

I reached out to [email protected] to see if the quality of responses differed over email. Once again, I was told to look for answers on the website.

A better FAQ page might take some of the pressure off the support team. The drop-down menu only contains seven sections, none of which I would describe as ‘Frequently Asked’. Some, such as ‘How to open an account?’, I would barely describe as questions.
