News has come to light late this afternoon that BGO Entertainment Limited who operate several online casinos, including BGO and Power Spins, have had their licence to operate in the UK suspended by the UK Gambling Commission.
In an email sent to their affiliates on behalf of their affiliate program BGO Buddies, affiliate partners working with BGO were informed that: “Following contact from the Gambling Commission of Great Britain BGO Entertainment limited has been notified that its operating licence has been suspended.”
Furthermore, upon visiting the BGO site from within the UK, visitors are met with the following message: “Following a notification from the Gambling Commission of Great Britain that BGO Entertainment limited operating licence has been suspended, it is with regret that we have to inform you that UK players are not currently permitted to access any of our services.”
“We’re working with the Gambling Commission to resolve this situation quickly, but in the meantime you are able to withdraw any funds currently in your account. Deposits will not be permitted. Please get in touch here with any questions.”
“If you’re not from the UK, please visit 7Casino.com where we continue to operate under our Alderney Licence.”
A notice has been posted on the Gambling Commission site which you can read in full here, which provides further information, to include: “The review and consequent suspension follows concerns that activities may have been carried out contrary to the Act, not in accordance with conditions of their licence and that the Licensee may be unsuitable to carry on the licensed activities.”
“Failing to protect consumers was a key consideration in the suspension decision.”
