AI Slop What was your biggest mistake when you first started gambling online?

There was 1 game, a Texas Hold'Em simulator between you, a blue bot and a red bot. Every round 1 of the bots will fold, leaving you against the other one. I thought I understood the bot logic, (I didn't, the bots cheat by looking into the deck) and lost over £1000 on that game. Made me make sure I always understand everything about any table game I play now.

Reading and believing other people’s reviews about ‘great casinos’! Joined one that is highly recommended on here and boy, I got absolutely slaughtered!!! I like to play for the fun of the games but this one site had nothing! I understand gambling is gambling however, there is a limit of play to no return or fun. Check for a relevant license and then play for fun.

Chasing a DOA 2 High Noon wild line for wayyy too long!!
Once I lost 2k on DOA 2 with High Noon Saloon selected without ever getting a big win. I was betting 0.9. Back then I didn't understand just how volatile that game is, and it seemed insane to me that there wasn't a single significant win.

Never chase!

I hit the wildline maybe my 10th time playing it and it paid 10,000x

My rule of thumb is, do 100 spins on the slot you like and want to hit big on and move on. Every time you deposit just give it some spins and hope today is your day. Then leave off to some other slots.

Its too volatile to chase.

My biggest mistake when I first started with online gambling was definitely chasing losses. It's so easy to think you can win back what you've lost, but it just digs you deeper. Now, I try to stick to a budget *snip* without going overboard.
