I know it's humor but she's giving bad advices. Humans are unfortunately made of meat and if you play dead, you'll be bear lunch. Bears don't let a bunch of meat laying there in the woods and just walk away.

People who survive a bear attack are people who fight back. Fingers in the eyes and hit the nose as hard as you can, preferably with a rock or a stick. Or better yet, be armed when entering bear territory.
