I understand it is something to do with withdrawals but what is flushing?

If the casino has a possibility to reverse/cancel withdrawal. You go to live chat and ask them to flush your withdrawal. After they do, that withdrawal will not be reversable any more.

But there are a few - the good ones will generally and obviously the very good ones don't have a reverse pending trap at all.Apart from the obvious cynical view, if a player doesn't withdraw, it also saves processing costs for the casino so there is some business justification behind it. Personally, I think that is probably outweighed by the fact that many players who reverse and loses feels annoyed and I'm sure a lot of accounts get closed as a result.

Some do, some dont.
I think it is useally not possible in RTG casinos. But other then that it depends on the casino.
For example 32red allows flushing.

It's all about PATIENCE.
Gamblers are usually impatient by nature. Casinos know this hence the delays on cashouts via pending periods.
I'd love to know the average play-back-and-lose figures for casinos that have a pending period, then we would know how effective it really is on behalf of the casino.
Once you learn patience, to walk away and stop thinking about your cashout during the pending period and find something else to do, you will never reverse again.
In the meantime a flushed w/d can in many cases 'switch off' the gambler's impatience as they now consider that temptation has gone.
Many casinos like most IGT's and Netents plus the big bookmakers' sites don't have any pending period so kudos to them.

In my case, I had to wait for 4 days! I reversed most of it, almost lost it, but end up withdrawing double than the initial amount!!
