Wondering if any of you give importance to the "Thermometer" which seems to show how hot a certain slot is running, e.g. on 32red? Have you followed a slot that's hot and won off it or is this largely used by the casinos to only draw players??

i used to follow this meter alot.. sometimes it moves fast and soemtimes its not...
i think when its moving fast it might that the game is very active and played alot... some move slower then i think the game is not played much..

I have no idea what it is based on, and I don't much care. I think it's just some sort of "marketing ploy".
If the slots are truly random (which I believe they are at MG casinos), then it is totally meaningless.
If the slots are not random - I don't even want to be playing there.

what i do experience with the thermometer is.. for example i used to play hellboy alot..
if the thermometer is on for example 329.5 and when i hit the 5 hellboy usually it drops to 80.0 that means the big price has falling...so if u watch many time this meter u will get an idea that u can use for future games u play

Wait. I thought that the temp was rising when the slot was "hot", but according to what you experienced it actually drops after a big pay? That doesn't make any sense unless the slots are compensated and are "due" to pay.

sofar i have allways seen the meter for hellboy and i have hit the 5 hellboy many time and i allways checking it... it allways drop to 80.0 when hit it..

BDBA does the same when sapphires are hit in the base game with a wild.

Well I've always thought it was the other way around - the thermometer number keeps rising until a big win is hit.
In other words, the slot is "cold", so it must be "due" to hit soon.
Looks like that is the case, from what others have posted above.
However, this does NOT mean the slot is "compensated" or anything funny like that - it's just an indication that a big win has not been hit for a long time.
Like I said above: Random slot = totally meaningless.

Yes, it does have a disclaimer as pictured above, and is related to jackpots - I assume on TSII the 5-reel shitstorm is the JP? Similar on IR? I expect it runs across the whole MG server, not just the site it is viewed on thus the temp. should be the same whichever MG download you're looking at?

I have no idea - but I would be surprised if it does. Casino's like 32Red etc. have their own servers, in their own locations? I guess it could be polled MG wide, just like a progressive.

Many casinos have a list of hot and cold slots - hold slots have been paying off recently, cold slots haven't been paying out. These numbers have no practical value, they're only for the superstitious/entertainment/people who don't know how random slots work.
In contrast to this, is the "thermometer" function offered at some Microgaming casinos. This lists the time since the last "jackpot" was hit. For a normal game, this is again only for entertainment and has no value.
However, for a progressive jackpot game, a slot that hasn't been hit for a while may have a much larger jackpot than usual. So it may have some value here. However, even in this case it's not very reliable, so I pretty much just ignore it.
