OK!!! Drum Roll................

MY VIEW:
Netent clearly win as a general developer and pound-for-pound Microcloning are by far the worst. I must say it'd piss both Netent (always coming up with innovations) and Novomatic off when they see a clear copy of an old game has won, Bitch Child and the Book Of Death!

A travesty in some ways, but it's our collective choice; that's democracy - ask Donald Trump!

Was surprised to see Family Guy down there in the doldrums, I thought they'd made quite good use of the license and it's fairly entertaining to boot. Assuming you're a fan of the show that is

Also interesting to see how Guns N Roses succeeded where Motorhead did not, something for NE to figure out.

I notice the love for Book of Dead amongst players so I may have to actually try it out for myself one of these days

I think it's due to exposure as every casino has Netent and WMS etc. nowadays and IGT are limited to certain sites hence their lack of take-up therefore player experience. BoD is simply a copy of BoRe which is annoying to purists like me. Family Guy is a good game I agree. Wolf Heart got no votes but is quite good too. It's refreshing to see the Microcloning con-trick has been exposed and none in the top 10! To get that in perspective they have massive exposure in multiplatform sites and yet performed abysmally in the poll, getting lower votes than some developers that have very limited casino offering.

10= Wishing You Fortune - WMS 322335 SCORE 18
Red Riding Hood - Notentertainment 324432 SCORE 18
Still can't believe Red Raping Hood is on the list at all

I tried it again last night - about 400-500 spins of utter, utter DROSS!
It even gave the Farty GrimeMonster feature where it turned FOUR of the symbols into wilds - and I won €0.
... but don't worry - there's a re-spin! ... which gave me €0! :sob:

Can someone PLEASE show me some screenshots where you actually managed to squeeze a big win out of this?
(And I mean over x100 - not a NetEnt Super-Mega-Galactic Win of bet x35...)

Not a single one of those games made it to my regular play list. Heres hope for 2017.
Yeah, you said that in the poll thread. Trouble is Germany doesn't have many of these licensed online just mainly Bally (Wulff) Merkur and Novolines along with a few others. One day maybe Europe will see the day when nearly all software can be easily played in all nations. Who knows?

Erm, no i didnt. :D Actually i wrote nothing in the poll thread as far as i remember.

And we can play Netent, MG, PlaynGo, Thunderkick, Yggdrasil, Elk, BTG... and some others over here. :)

I tried most of the games but not one of them was good enough to become one of my regular games.

Interesting poll Dunover. The BoD slot (1st) and Warlords (3rd) on that list are the only 2 I would play regularly and even then I would play Book Of Ra over BoD if the option was there. Overall, is it me or has it been a fairly poor year for new slots? Granted there has been some innovative ideas and nice designs but nothing that has made me yearn to play.

That would be a good theme for the next poll: the "Games You Play Most Regularly" top 5 to see which games are played most regularly here. Subtly different from a "Best Slots" poll IMO.

You're correct! It was another German-based player I had you confused with, Goa. Apologies.

I have to agree with this I feel 2016 has been an awful year for new ideas and slots which could be called 'totally new'

MicroCloning apart, I seems that 2016 has also been the year of the copycat, couple of quick examples Book of Dead from play N Go and also Playtakes Raging Rhino rip off (hope WMS charged them a fortune for allowing that one!)

A most played poll would also be an excellent idea and I'd be very interested in those results. Would have to say in the OP tho "Excluding DOA......" :p

Yes, it was only a poll of this year's releases to gauge people's views on developers and what formats were popular. I have come across several more clones of BoRe in addition to BoD from other minor new developers - it's cloned even more than St*rb*rst. Actually above both those models are 5 or 6-reel multiways like Rhino, BB, Thunderhorn, Silver Lion, Jaguar Mist and Buffalo with the centre-reels multiplying cumulative Wilds. So It seems that (further evidence is the popularity of Drive MM with the cumulative wilds) those 3 models have the most endearing and popular appeal to players.

Cumulative multiplying Wilds.
Expanding Scatters
L-R & R-L stacked-symbol games.

:confused::confused::confused:

How the fuck did Second Strike get 5th :what::what:

Biggest pile of dross ever.

Shall I say it, Shall I say it........Even makes Tarzan look ok

Have to disagree Jon...It's such good value for money (regular hits keep you going)...10p to win a possible £100 and you only need 5 diamonds one way to do so. In fact it's technically possible with 4 diamonds if there are enough diamonds/wilds already on the reels.

I've had full screen of 7s which paid out a nice £100 on 50p bet too...Still chasing the 5 diamonds but I will get it eventually. Whereas with twin spin all of the diamonds....Will never ever happen.

I don't know if this would be of an interest to you or indeed anyone else mate, but I was considering doing a 2017 version of these threads.....

Initial shortlisting of Top 32

Round 2 - Round of 32
https://www.casinomeister.com/forum...minated-slots-go-head-to-head-vote-now.63434/

I was thinking about waiting for the CM awards and the Meister Meet to pass before starting it...and perhaps maybe do a "Your Best MG game", "Your best Netent game", etc etc for each (well-known) developer and then do one grand finale "Your Best Slot (by any developer)".

I've already decided that I'm taking a break from gambling (as in playing) for 3 months, effective from January 1st. But I still want to remain active in the forum. This (among other things) would be my way of doing that.

It would be interesting to know, from a friendly gaming rep maybe, what their actual top ten games were (in terms of number of spins played). I suppose adjustment would have to be made for slots' release dates.

I doubt it, especially as WMS themselves ripped their idea from Aristocrat's Fubbalo :D

This is the whole issue - we are starting to lose track of what was invented by whom!

Expanding scatters clearly Novomatic in BoRe and Lord Of The Ocean etc.

The 5-reel stacked animal game with 1024 ways (later copied by WMS/Playtech) with wilds 2x3x in the middle reels was indeed Aristocrat's original idea years before Rhino and Thunderhorn, i.e. Buffalo and even a couple of Lightning Box versions.

The we have WMS's 'Wishing You Fortune' based on Aristocrat's 5 Dragons and Choy Sun Doa slots.

I even hear from my contacts that St*rb*rst is actually pre-dated by a minor developer's version.

The whole developer scene is totally incestuous and full of plagiarism, although there must be some dialogue as Petter from Play N Go informed me at ICE this year that Novomatic "had been in touch" about Bitch Child and the Book Of Death....;)
