I have just responded to Mafunks post about quitting gambling. I then clicked the box to not show my signature. Then it came to me that I also commented on a post in the Quit Gambling section I think it was Taysh's post, were I had to do the same thing.

To me wishing someone all the best after they have chosen to give up the game and flaunting my affiliates links or websites is just wrong.

Is there a way that the Quit Gambling section could be made so signature links are not shown?

Cheers Matt

(P.S) Sorry if this has been addressed or that those that have quit cannot see links anyway.

Good idea, but I don't think it can work. I've searched the backend and there isn't anything that pertains to "Viewing" sigs, and I can't disallow them to be visible for a specific forum. If I were to do this I would have to modify the user's account since they have access to "The Attic" and other non-gambling related forums. Perhaps there is a plugin for this. I'll check when I get a chance. :D

Or just make it a rule for webmeisters.. Common courtesy not to do it anyway. Although I noticed I did it myself recently.. (facepalm) but then it wasn't a player who wanted to quit gambling but a video related to it, so that's probably why I forgot. I did remember to remove the links in my previous posts there.
And if this goes through how about setting the same rule for the new member thread? Don't think it's very polite to welcome new members with links to other sites. Don't think they enjoy it either.
(At least if it's an introduce yourself thread, I see there is one now about Rushmore.. and that's not what I meant by it)
