Today I have obtained a refund from virgin games following a frenzy of chasing a loss. After careful review of the account I have realised that virgin changed my GROSS deposit limit to a net deposit limit. I had contacted virgin and my stance was quite clear and robust; referencing a phone conversation with a manager, to which there was a phone call recording of me clearly stating I wish to exclude any net limits or hidden limits and only use a gross limit.
I was able to obtain a refund of £855.
Suggest for any one who struggles with chasing Losses, ensure you manage the account and the house correctly, making it abundantly clear to the company via phone call that you do not wish to opt in for net deposit limits and you only want to utilise GROSS deposit limits so that what your hobby costs you doesn’t end up stretching into your personal living funds. If you cannot control yourself and be responsible the house HAS to make sure that they provide all means of doing that for you otherwise they are directly violating RG and can be reported to the gambling commission accordingly.
I must say, Virgin Games has behaved in a professional and fair manner and I would highly recommend individuals to utilise this app for your gambling if you are in the UK.
For any other individuals who are high spenders such as myself, I would recommend this approach as it protects you.
