A long but interesting article from the NY Times on political funding and how it is used (and perhaps abused) by the Congressional Black Caucus - note the involvement as donors of unidentified Internet poker interests.

I dont trust the NYTimes anymore due to the plagiarism by its reporters, it was a good article tho', agree with Felicie, a bit long and drawn out for my taste.................laurie

Not being an American, I can afford to be bi-partisan LOL - but I have always been interested in the American political system in its many complex elements, which has so many laudable values, but is prone (imo) to monetary abuse.

I thought that this was just one facet that illustrated the point of conflicts that can occur - especially the relationship between scholarship sponsorships and 'fundraising' in its loosest sense!
