So yesterday, I had a pretty good day at 32Red built up a bit of a bankroll, withdrew around £200 in total, spent the evening watching the football and having a few beers. As a result of the latter, I got a bit brave and decided to play something new someplace new(ish).

So after hearing so much about it, and seeing all the screenshots I finally decide to break my DoA virginity. I'm going in. So I chuck £50 on GUTS, well, £51.25 to be exact (they charge you to make a deposit? Surely I'm about to pay through the nose as it is!).

Only played here a couple of times, the last time being quite some time ago, anyhow I crack on cautiously playing at 18p spins as I've heard quite a lot of people say it can be quite volatile. Before I know it I'm down to £35, then I hit the free spins, I get several wilds and get an extra 5 spins (can anyone tell me why this happens?), boom - I'm back up to £116.

So I bump up the stake a bit to 45p and 54p throughout the rest of my session hitting several dud bonus rounds and then going without the free spin feature for around 90 minutes before subsequently giving up and playing the remaining £30 of my balance on IR.

My 3 biggest wins outside of the free spin features, were along the lines of £4.20, £2.20 and £2.10. Is it just me or do you rely very heavily on the free spin feature on this game, as the base game payout seems poor.....?

The base game payouts are not bad for the better symbols, but its got to be a five-of-a-kind and of course those can be rare on nine line games. The five shot glasses drops much more than anything else. But overall yes you are definitely looking for a big paying bonus round, seems like you got a big one first time around - you get the five extra spins if you land a wild on each of the five reels during the initial 12 spins.

The humongous payouts you have seen in the screenshots forum result from getting five wilds on a line during the freespins - with them being sticky, every subsequent spin is guaranteed to pay you something like 300x bet, so get five on a line before the five extra spins and your guaranteed a massive win.

Don't forget that 5 scatters pay 2500x bet on this game too! It's rare of course, but we've seen quite a few posted here over the years.

IMO this is one game that could really use a clone, with a quickspin option and a little bit of colour!

My biggest problem with DOA is not the fact that most of the payout is caught up with potential for huge bonus rounds, that it is about as exciting to play it as watching paint dry. Even a good session will usually see me leaving after a couple of hundred spins.

Yeah, it is a little too slow, plus the same sound effects over and over after every 5p/10p win was driving me insane.

It has a perfect autoplay function where you can put on some good music and do other stuff while waiting for that bonusround to hit.
