I've been a member at Jackpot City for a few years now but have not played there recently, but still receive regular texts and e-mails with bonus offers. Last week I had a few phone calls from them offering a 200% deposit match etc but never bothered playing.
I've just received a text today saying "Make the move to Betway where all your favourite slots are available." Plus the hyperlink to take you there.

Does this mean Jackpotcity are pulling out of the UK market as well?- sorry if this has already been discussed but I haven't been around much the last few weeks.

Yes, the are pulling out.

However, this is VERY shady indeed!!

This is pretty good evidence that they were intentionally keeping players in the dark for as long as possible in the hope of milking every last penny they could from them before the shutters came down. Management had made this decision some time in July, so they made these "come on back to us" calls knowing that there was no long term prospect of you becoming a loyal player again.

Betway isn't your only choice either, but seems to be the one exclusively suggested by all Digimedia casinos. Pretty clear that there has been some "under the counter" deal between Digimedia and Betway, even though they are not actually migrating (obviously selling on) the players. However, they are offering an "exclusive" welcome bonus to the players that move over to Betway, and in order for Betway to determine which claims for the enhanced offer are legit, and which are "chancers" having seen the emails published on the forum, Betway must somehow have access to data telling them which of their new players are former Digimedia account holders, and thus eligible for the enhanced offer.

Vegas Partner Lounge migrated all UK players to Casino UK, so this is one alternative to Betway (not that there is any reason to avoid Betway). 32Red also look like sticking around, and Casino Rewards are now listed on the UKGC database, so either have a UK licence, or are operating under the continuation provisions.

Other casinos that have focussed mainly on the UK market are also likely to stick around. I can't see Sky Vegas closing to UK players given that SKY television is supposed to be a UK specific service.
