Iowa Problem Gamblers Sign Up for Self-Ban

IOWA As reported by the Des Moines Register: "About 240 gambling addicts have signed agreements voluntarily banning themselves statewide from Iowa's riverboats and racetrack casinos, state officials said today.

"The Iowa Legislature approved the statewide self-exclusion option last year. It took effect Nov. 1.

"People can arrange to be banned by showing up at any riverboat or racetrack, or by visiting any state-sponsored regional gambling treatment center, according to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission"

I did this in Missouri and regret it. It's a lifetime ban. Sucks. Don't do it.
