Hi everyone,
well this looks good, a website that actually gives a stuff about "us sitting in the dark on our lonesome trying to make a few bob online casino players."
Seriously tho, thanks for being here and I hope I may be able to contribute something useful some
time.Tho i fancy I will be looking to you guys for advice and help more than that.
I play live euro roulette, almost exclusively, and as I have just watched the casinomeister webcast in which it was muted that Russian and East European operators should be avoided, I am a bit surprised then that casinos I use are coming from Latvia. this being sited right in the heart of aforementioned avoid zone. Not knowing as yet if I should mention names but my 2 principles are 1 Irish and 2 London
based, and it would seem also that most other big bookies are using the same source. My question would be then should I not use them.
Wishing you all every success in your endeavors, Grif

Hi, and welcome. To answer your question, fairly simple, i would point out that Ireland, and Uk arent eastern Europe:)
Mainly go for the accredited ones here, and if in doubt just name the casino on the forum and ask the the membership.
After feedback you can then decide if you want to, yes or no.
And what also was noted in the webcast, and i have always done myslef as first step (well not always but since i knew fell on my face once) is to google the casino name with the term rogue, problems or issues behind it, then scroll through the first 3 pages and you will get a good impression mostly.
Hope that helps.

A lot of live dealer casinos have their dealers in eastern europe (because it's cheaper) but actually operate out of another jurisdiction (eg: the UK). Just having their dealers there isn't a cause for concern in my opinion.

Just FYI, there are some casinos who have dealers in western europe - specifically from the fitzwilliam card club in dublin (eg: lucky live casino). But again, I don't think it really matters.

My thanks to incredibulstuff and baldicot.

mmm... did not actually ask where Ireland or UK were situated on the planet... I knew that one:

Lets see if I can expand on my point.... for instance. If you play live roulette on Paddy Power
under the auspices of the IOMGC, you are playing on a table that is in Latvia, which is not governed by the IOMGC, simultaneously at the same table there are players from other uk bookies sites that are also governed by lets say Alderney and IOMGC. and others that are not in Latvia.

MY question is then who is governing Latvia and is it safe in respect of casinomeister webcast warning to avoid things in East Europe.

Good luck with that.....Grif

Well somehow i interpreted your question as such, maybe because you called yourself a newbie ^^
Going with the accredited casinos is still a valid tip though, there at least you are as sure as you can get.

On your current bookies/casinos, i would suggest you name them, when we are trying to answer the question if your current "principles" are to be avoided or not, this would be nescessary.

The whole current situation, with the U.S. and E.U. jurisdiction, is complicated to say the least:)

Hi Grif and welcome on board, with reference to your live dealers and Eastern bloc countries - I can offer you no advice as my knowledge of them is on a par with Heskey and his goal scoring abilities, however, as you come from the UK I can state that you can play anywhere you want and my 1st advice here would be register at the 32Red group - Golden Lounge springs to mind as they have live dealers there, secondly - NordicBet afaik they also have live dealers ;).

You will not find better casinos out there than the two I have mentioned, rather than take the risk of the probability of a problem, play risk free at the ones I stated;).

Hope this helps.

Roy.
