hi, i am new to the site, and forums in general, so i am not sure if this is a good spot to start this thread. i recently deposited $50 in to an online casino and proceeded to go on a roll, turning that in to just over $3300 before i called it a night. the very next morning, i received an email from their finance department stating that my account had been closed and that my deposit would be refunded. no explanation as to why was given. now, i will be honest with you and let you know that i have opened, and deposited at numerous online casinos(never more than one at the same site). i ended up cancelling and closing many of these accounts, siting gambling as a problem for me. i noticed on another thread that this could put me on some sort of gamblers addiction blacklist or something of that nature. i was hoping you could verify the validity of this, as i still have not gotten a reason from the casino. if this is a legitimate reason to cancel my account after the fact, i will let this incident go, and cut my losses. also, please let me know what you think that the likelihood of me getting that $50 deposit refunded would be. thanks very much for your time, any information, feedback, even criticism(constructive) would be greatly appreciated

hello, i thank you all for not replying to this thread, sincerely(not sarcastically please consider this issue resolved. i believe my problem was due to citing gambling addiction as a problem at numerous online casinos. now, i will also admit to something else. i have had a series of chargebacks just over a year ago, all at one casino, that has changed its name and location( not sure if i should be naming casinos) not to make excuses, but i did not request these chargebacks. at the time i thought that my bank would cover the excess charges, and that i would pay them back when i had the money. they did to a certain extent, but all said and done, i left this casino owing them roughly $1700. i did make contact with them, attempting to pay them back, and even called the day they asked me to, to no avail. i know this was a rather weak attempt. let me also say, that i have lost way more than this owed amount in the past year, so the online industry definitely more than got their money back(admittedly, still not good reasoning.
as an update on this issue, i have some pending deposit refunds currently being routed to my bank account(about $250 total) now, i am not going to complain or be happy about this amount. the main point is the principle here, which is that even me(admitted problem gambler) am not going to deposit at any more of these sites, even if allowed to, because i now know that i am not going to see any withdrawals anyway.
i also fully understand that having had past chargebacks is a reason to close and cancel my account here at casinomeister. that is perfectly fine, as i have admittedly violated this condition. however, i do hope that some of you get to read this post beforehand. thank you all for your time, and thank you casinomeister for the information available here at your site. i will miss online gambling, but i was the type where it lead to never having money or time for anything else, not just one or the other. i wish you all good luck and success with all of your endeavors in general.

Thanks for coming clean, that's a pretty hard thing for a gambler to do.

If my opinion counts for anything, I'd be okay with CM allowing you to retain your membership as a Quit Gambling member. You can find some valuable support here, as well as access to tools to help you remain on the wagon.

Whew.. not really sure what to say, but ummmm "Well done for being honest? Sort of?" lol I do understand how addicting gambling is. Been there myself. Where I would do anything for the next rush. From blowing the rent to porning whatever I could just for the moolah to splash on the machines but that was on 'real machines' Casino, pubs - where ever they would be. Took me a long time, years in fact - to snap out of that.

I find I have loads more control when I play virtual casinos, in fact - $50 is probably the max I'd spend a week on the online slots these days, if that I have never done a charge back. In fact, I still don't quite know what a charge back is. I understand its some thing to do with ringing your bank, and saying that you didnt use your card on that casino, someone else must of - so give your money back or something?

I don't know why a bank would actually believe that, especially if you use your card on that casino or casino's a few times and then you turn around one day and say, Sorry - that wasnt me, using it - it was someone else, Give me my money back?

Aside from the "porning" bit I don't think you're far off the truth at all Reality; my perception is that this is a problem gambler who is very wise to recognise the fact and stop indulging.
