Last night there was a 100% free tournament with 100 prizes, without continues and with 10 free rebuys, that got cancelled because it didn’t have 100 players registered. So I figured I should start this thread where we can let each other know if a free tournament starts.

Preferably we should put here only the 100% free (without or with free continues and rebuys). But those are extremely rare, so go ahead and post ones that won’t cost you a small fortune to complete. :D

I will start with this one. It is in Royal Vegas and sister casinos. It is called International day of Charity. You have to pay for rebuys, but no continues, and besides, it is for charity. The winner gets to choose where the donation of 500 will go. First 10 get cash from 150 to 2.50. It ends in less than 3 days.

Apart from the daily network 50 euro freerolls and qualifiers and the 20k forghtnightly 32red ones is there any others left on mg?

Although us poor UK players lost a quite a few with the ukgc changes (go wild, vegas partner lounge group, bellrock group)

Palace group has a 100% free weekly tournament. First 50 get 10.
Digimedia started some new ones this weekend. One is free without continues and gives an ipad mini 2 or headphones to the 1st and 200 between the next 14.

I think is about time we had a nice 32 Red CM exclusive tourney.

If Mark could maybe look into this pretty please ? :p

Could maybe keep it sweet with one free entry and 10 x 0.50p re-buys so won't break the bank for anyone.

All prizes could be in bonus money with their standard wagering ( I know a lot of players, including me would risk a 5er to maybe end up with some great play time)

Game could be the wonderful Immortal Romance and tourney called Jon Vs his un-dead Nemesis.

To be continued......or possibly not :D

This is a tournament warning. These are the type of tournaments where the casino says “hey you “competitive” player, give us your money”. I use the “competitive” word because it was used from CS one time, and is politer than the one I have in mind.

In this “win an ipad pro” tournament everybody that wants the ipad will need to pay 750 or more, and if not lucky will win 20 or less. To be fair, there are worst ones out there, like those “pay 600 for a top prize of 50”. It is like casinos are only happy if tournaments have absolutely no real winner no matter how lucky the player is.

To be also fair to players, without the “competitive” ones, there would be no tournaments at all. :)

Personally I qualified a month back and had a great week (all fun but no luck). After that I directed all my deposits at vs, bought some tickets, but didn’t make the wagering (no luck at all). So I think I deserved this ticket. And it is logical to limit it at people that didn’t already qualify (but deposit).

I think that's a fair enough way to look at it too

3 days of fun just ended, with 34 freerolls and like 100 FS won. FS paid 10 euro that lasted less than a min.

Nothing new, so here are a couple of tournament tips.

1. Play last minute. Even if you are going to buy continues, wait as much as possible. That way nobody will be able to buy their way higher than you in the leaderboard. And it will spare you the agony watching your position getting worst every hour.
2. See the leaderboard and ask yourself if it is worth your time and money. See the top 10, dividing their score with the money you can spend in one continue gives you the number of continues needed to buy certain prize. Is it worth it? Remember, most people play last minute. There is a reason MG doesn’t let you see the leaderboard before you enter a tournament.

Great move. Gives everyone a fair shot. And obviously loyal(ish) players who unfortunately dont make the 500 wagering can sometimes take part.

I dont use any VS codes unless they are mailed to me, if its meant for you it will get sent to you.

It appears that Videoslots are targeting different parts in turn for this promo rather than have too many rushing for the games only to be met with disappointment because the games are full.
Great move

Not for me :(
Bad idea depositing 30 there this week, 5% RTP and nothing else. :(

These codes probably only work for selected accounts, the ones sent the email. If they are being found because they have been shared on some forum, they may not work if the casino has been smart enough to pre register eligible accounts so that the codes only work for the players that should be using them.

That is exactly what Video Slots do.

To the best of my knowledge they have player 'groups' who are specifically / individually targeted so that everyone gets a slice of the pie at some point but that the site doesn't get a self inflicted DDos due to every man and his dog jumping at the 'freebies' at the same time.

This would explain why the codes don't work for players who obtain them from an unofficial source. It has to be accepted rather than complaining every time an unofficially obtained code doesn't work.

PS - I didn't realise they permitted dogs to register.

Yes, I know. But it is always useful to be posted here. An eligible player may get the email later, or miss it, or see it and forget it. Especially since these codes are time sensitive. As for myself, I am just always hopping I will get that email later so I test every weekend the potential code. It may not be my time, but it could be a useful reminder for someone else.

How are you getting these codes in the first place though?

You call them "potential codes", so posting them for others may not be that helpful in any case as they may not be the correct codes, and may fool eligible players into trying them, they fail, and thus an eligible player wrongly judges themselves ineligible.

It could, after all, be "3day061116" for example, then they will issue "3day101116" for the next batch, so all your guesses would fail because they are a day out of sync with their current cycle. They may also miss a day or two out and reset the 3 day cycle that way.

Given the generic formula, it should be easy for players to test their own eligibility each day without having to see the codes posted.

I thought I was clear. After all you almost said it in the end. I test potential codes, I don’t post potential codes. What I post IS the code. No question about it. I would never post things I am not 100% sure. And I just explained I post them early enough for everybody to make sure they don’t miss out no matter what. I feel a bit offended by your suggestion I am not careful about it.

Just to be clear, 100% accurate code, 100% in time, not a minute too soon, not a minute too late. Ok?

You keep saying "not for me" though, so how can you tell an actual code apart from a guess that doesn't work for any player, as neither are working for you?

In a wider context, casinos have big problems due to people posting codes on the internet, and this can lead to players having their winnings confiscated for using a code they found on the internet that worked on their account, but which was not authorised for them to use.

This may not matter for Videoslots because the codes don't work on unauthorised accounts, but some casinos don't have this kind of software blocking of invalid codes, and use something buried in the general terms about winnings being confiscated if a code "from the internet" has been used.

how can you tell?

VS tells you.

That makes no sense. Can you give an example of an accredited casino "in big trouble" that has a term to confiscate winnings if a "code from internet" has been used?

It's not such a big problem now because they can configure codes to only work on authorised accounts. However RTG casinos in the past didn't have this facility, and some reacted to players sharing and using codes quite harshly.

More recently, we HAVE seen casinos void winnings because players have used a bonus code that worked, but in the terms they were not valid for Neteller deposits.

If Videoslots "tell you" what the codes are regardless of eligibility, you have to expect them not to work on your account occasionally, but when you keep posting "not for me" each time it can come across as bitterness and trying to get attention through going public that you are somehow being treated unfairly. This can have the opposite effect to that intended, and may mean you never see these codes work for you.

It appears that if you are eligible you will get the email. If you don't get the email and are testing the code to see whether this is because you were not selected or because the email didn't get through, the code not working for you is a legitimate result, it shows that the cause of you not getting the email is down to you not having been sent it.

Stopped playing there 10 years ago and never looked back.

I don't get that. What do they have against Neteller?

You are right. I got the code 2 times. I got a bit disappointed when I didn't, but the "not for me" was just that and also to suggest that cods work only if you are eligible. Then it was just a copy-paste. The last time, yes I was a bit more frustrated. Shouldn't say that here though. Good point.

No new free things, yet, soon I hope.

But I have a warning for all CM members. Don't play at the 100k big one! Not yet anyway.
It's a tournament designed to part you from your cash.
It's designed to make you think it is easy, but with the big duration it uses other players luck against you.

In short, winners will need a 1000x win. Easy to get? I don't think so.
Want to give it a go? Sure, give it a 50 if you want, but only the last day, when you know where you are getting into.

I would have joined but unfortunately UK players are not eligible for practically all of these free-rolls now a days.

Wow,they can't muster up 500 players for a decent free cash prize tournament spread over a number of their casino's when Videoslots fill up their 2 hourly free rolls that first require a bit of investment very regularly.
It just shows how successful Videoslots are

They only needed 100 to keep the tournament going....
Just like I only need 18 more likes to dethrone you for the Tarzan comp. :)

That begs the question- How few depositors take notice of these special offers never mind how many do notice but don't bother taking the offer up?

I guess that even if 100 did opt in maybe 20% of those would forget about it once the time arrived.

I wonder which casino's will have the most successful season this year in terms of increased revenue? My guess is that it will be GUTS?

Truth is these tournaments are regular and last many days, so they usually end up with more than 1000 players, most don't bother register until last day. I used to take for granted that min number of players would be reached soon enough. I think most did the same. Not any more.

You are right. MG download is loosing ground. Fast payouts, bigger selection of games and better offers. MG download also lost a lot of ground with new legislations. The only thing they have for them is tournaments and smoother spinning. But others are getting good at that too.

Forgot one thing, with 10-20 times higher max bet, MG download is the home for high rollers.

Well I don't feel that I'm missing out by being in a restricted Country
