Need your input: Do you still Accept or go Looking for Bonuses?

Back in the day casino bonuses were used by online casinos as a great marketing tool to attract prospective new customers and players. Over the years though, things have changed quite a bit.

Bonus terms have become more complicated in some cases, wagering requirements can vary wildly, and we've also seen the rise of cashback, free spins, wager-free bonuses and various loyalty rewards.

Then there is the fact in the UK, casinos have had their wings clipped somewhat by new regulations, some would say which are good for players ( hello max 10x WR ), but nonetheless reduce their profitability.

Others have been hit by the terms and conditions and the small print, even I have succumbed to this one, whereby failing to cash out upon hitting the WR cost me big time, as I continued playing.

So what are your thoughts on this? Are bonuses still a thing or are they dead in the water to you?

I don't really bother with them these days, even with the x10 wagering you get in the UK. It just feels like a faff. Feels like you're entering into a contract just for the chance of a few pence. I can never be bothered to read the T&C's either.

Taking bonuses is a key factor to why I play as much as I do. I love the challenge of man vs bonus and find it extremely satisfying to beat one, knowing I was the underdog all along.

I find bonuses add a tremendous boost to both play time (which I'm mainly after) and to the RTP (which is much needed).

I don't recall meeting any unpleasant surprises in the withdrawal stage after successfully completing a bonus wagering but then again, I will usually have read through the T&C's very carefully beforehand, so that I will always know what I signed up for.

Also, playing under the restrictions that tends to come along with a bonus can be favourable when you for instance sooner or later get the itch to go on a feature buy spree or similar (which usually means obliterating the balance) - you can't do that when the bonus has you locked to a certain max bet size.

I generally only play in the dwindling group of casinos that still give me some kind of bonus. Any casino that bonus bans me or gives no extras, I don't play at, although in the recent ABC comp I did go on to lose my entire deposit "for fun" even though I fully stamped my passport with £75 remaining.

I like to take a good bonus when they come around, but it depends on the following factors:

• Wagering requirements (35x or less)
• Max withdrawal (at least 2x the bonus amount, preferably no limit)
• Game limitations

And because of the above, I rarely find bonuses that meet these criteria.

Don't bother any more, I only have one account now..sometimes I deposit at the start of a month
and then skip it for a few weeks, guess the novelty of slotting has well and truly worn off.
