Do you recall the first slot you played online?

Mine was Alaskan Fishing :D

I used to play nothing but VP, but was bored one day on Ladbrokes (the good old Ladbrokes), and went to video slots. Alaskan Fishing was on the first page (alphabetical order, obviously, and I was clearly lazy) so I opened it and played a few spins at £3 a spin. I play VP at £2.50 a hand so it didn't seem excessive, although I know better nowadays ;)

Anyway, I had no idea what happened at the time but hit some wilds and won something like £600. Eyes popped out of my head

That was me hooked on slots

I used to play VP at £5 per hand. Never touched other games. Then had a go on Cleopatra didnt win but found it fun. Mix the games up still. But MG VP looking dated now ;-) still one of the best VP software out there though. Next slot I played was Wheel of Fortune or something like that. Remember getting loads of bonus rounds and only winning small amounts. Was fun though.

Damn I remember LOTR -) as I go down memory lane. Was up on the lifetime of that slot had some monster wins. Then MG pulled it never to return

Lol when I started playing spring break, tally ho, and thunderstruck where pretty much the most exciting games available.. I can remember when supe it up was a new release and I thought wow what a cool game.. In the last 14 years I've seen alot change.. The worse was the USA laws... Hasn't been the same since.. Although I'm on a hot streak.. I had more back then..

Monopoly 'Here and Now' was the very first slot I spun at the now extinct People Casino (Games Xtra) Spotted offer in the Sunday Newspaper of the same name.

Soon discovered how rubbish the game was and spotted Cleopatra (back when the reels spun properly and there was none of this 'teaser spin' rubbish in anticipation of the 3rd scatter)

There I lived on that slot and that slot alone for over a year across various sites until I discovered MG download casinos.

First ever MG slot which I spent hours and hours (and probably a similar number of £'s) was Mermaids Millions.

* In memory of the LOTR, I LOVED that game, much better than Dark Knight, best recall was the 'something is happening' music came on, the Skinny man (never knew his name) appeared and dragged the 2nd, 3rd and 4th reels wild, already having a wild on 1st reel and stacked on 5th, can't remember exact win but It was LOTS and this too was at (the good old) Ladbrokes so 5 minutes up the road and the cash was in my pocket n all :D :D :D

There is no reason they couldn't bring that back (probably minus the progressive) we should start a petition :p

i started to play online with Keno. that was at Gamebookers between 2001~2005 and the payout rate was excellent 1:15 for 2 numbers. until they were bought by PartyPoker and the fun was over (completely removed).
my favourite 1st online slot was Oktoberfest (chartwell) i loved to spin some rounds and it always fun to find the -collect- button in the Bonus feature. its a good 9-liner with low variance. (still available at Intercasino)

I recall being lured to Sky Vegas at the time where I fancied my chances at the lo- stakes computer Blackjack, probably because I thought I was the shizzle from being an ex- Croupier!

£5 would get me a fair bit of playtime at 10p a hand, but after being spanked continously I made a 'large' deposit of £10 or so lol and fancied something different......dunno how or why but the glitz of their slots section caught my eye....and there it was...!

The 50 - line Batman slot in all its glory!!

God I love that slot, just the sounds it makes brings back nostalgic recollections:D

Never played it since mind

Alas not so it was a copyright licensing broadcast issue where allegedly MG screwed up but not sure. All is known is they had to yank it and they did pretty quickly and it was followed by the progressive version but that also was pulled. It will never return - just clones or similar.

was when will hill had the cryptologic slots and played fat cat
Yeah, mine was PROBABLY one of theirs too, as Will Hills was the first casino I joined in 2001.
Not 100% sure I played any slots though, as in those days bonuses were card game & roulette friendly! ;)
If not there, than my first slot might have been at Slotland... but I can't be sure.

I am pretty sure however, that after I joined CasinoMeister in 2004 an saw the Winners Screenshots thread for the first time, that my first MG slot was probably Thunderstruck.

They DID try with "Girls with guns" but that's a horrific slot with 16-bit graphics and a daft theme.
Microgaming really could bring back LOTR. Just change the name and the imaging to be totally unique and copyright-free. Pretty sure New Line Cinema don't have a copyright on a black and gold colour scheme, or 5-reel slots, or that "wild reel on every spin" bonus round, or the big win bells, or anything else that made the LOTR slot so iconic.

It really was a beautiful beautiful slot in every way.

Girls with guns is awful only played it twice and regretted it each time. LOTR in its short life span was pretty unique. And was superb to play.

More to life than just slots though ha ha

Mine was on playboy casino. It had a skiing theme.
Withdrew 70 quid from a freebie
Snow Honeys?

I remember the year that came out I had been to the works Christmas party and came home "slightly not sober", went on that game at Ladbrokes and had an amazing run winning several £100's!
In the morning I wondered if I had dreamt it - but when I checked my Lads account I found it WAS real!

No, I don't recall (it was probably on Party Poker before the UIGEA).

Otherwise, I'd have to guess it was on Bodog, with their in-house RTG slots. I think the new slots back then were Golden Retriever and Warlock's Spell, because Bodog didn't have them in their stable as they had purchased the source code just prior to then.

Fruit Loot (Microgaming).

For 3 months when I played I only played fruit loot - you could say I was quite obsessed with trying to get 3 x fruit basket (the top symbol). I had gotten every other combination during that time but not the holy grail of this slot. When I look back at that I realize I had no idea what I was doing. It was only x1666 the bet and so not worth it. Yet I had some really good sessions on this slot but would probably never touch it again lol.

my first online casino was 32red and it was thanks to this site....I went thru the list of the accredited casinos and ones with good reviews and signed up with them.....

but somehow don't recall my first slot :o

what on earth.webp

Cops n robbers.webp

Mine was at Lucky's Casino,it was a 1 reeler back in 98, I will never forget my first cashout, it was a hand written cheque, then along came Intercasino, I just remember the amazing video poker and the best payouts, then it was MG Thumper and the best 5 liners, the graphics now are amazing but for the most part the rest has digressed.

Irish Luck, was playing a bit of poker at titan & gave this slot ago, got the bonus & must of hit a decent multiplier as I cashed out about $350. On my second visit I hit autoplay 10spins & hit the bonus twice, once with a retrigger. That slot used to play well at Titan poker site but shorlty after the slots there would crash all the time :(..... I still play the slot sometimes but now play at OMNI

First slot I ever played was Mega Fortune. I liked the look of the game and the sounds.

Got pretty lucky, played under 10 spins at min bet and won the rapid jackpot 350€.

Not a bad start to my online slotcareer!

LOTR deposited £5 only into my ladbrokes account and withdrew £500 odd quid,

Before that, though was Santas wild ride, got 50 freespins no deposit for joining ladbrokes, and withrdew £400 odd from them,
Now THAT is what I call beginners luck! :notworthy

Paddy Power when they were IGT 2009 I made a £50 deposit played Cleopatra and lost, another £50 and won £2200 on Cleopatra...then closed my account when 48 hours later the cash was showing as a huge credit on my MasterCard...:)

chuzzle slots at paddy power followed up by casper at the same site where I had my crowning glory of £30 deposit couldnt stop getting the features and had my biggest wdw around £3900

Haven't repeated it yet......

KK and Me And Ed.
No, I seem to remember ski jumpers landing on symbols turning them wild.
It must have had its own software cos never seen it since.
My second dabble was a 35 quid no deposit at William Hill.
Ended up with a 360 quid withdrawal, had to deposit 35 quid to withdraw.
Was a bit wary of depositing

Same with me, only played VP - deuces & joker - up at Partycasino. Then one day tried one of their slots "Aztec Gold". Had no idea how slots worked at that time, and had no idea why I kept seeing these random lines appear after each spin (hah, was a weird 50 line slot with weird paylines) >_< hah ;D

Back when I used to play poker, I got some free spins on Rocky at Bet365. I guess I liked it, so went on to make a € 300 deposit and played Archer at € 2.50 a spin :o Obviously I knew jack about variance. But I won over 3k that evening, even hitting my first 1,000x bet (4OAK Marion on Archer, I think all of them must have been split). And the rest is history for me, still loving slots, but with 3 kids, no more high rolling for me. Which is probably for the better.
