Can't play Casino Euro on ie8...!

Tried playing at Casino Euro the last couple of days - but the games don't work on ie8.
The screen goes all "funny" (like a locked screen) and I can't see anything, though I can still hear the game sounds after it has loaded.

Weird because other NetEnt casinos work fine on ie8, and Casino Euro works fine on FireFox... :confused:

Anyone else having this problem?

I didn't know people still used ie8!
Anyways, I've always had Chrome on my PC, not usually used except in the cases like you mention - it's always my get-out-of-jail browser for online casinos; never had one not load on it yet. It's also possible flash player has issues after updates if you still use ie8.

This means they have to find a third party browser that IS still being actively supported for a variety of platforms, which is why Chrome and Firefox often work when IE gives up.

One problem is that many casinos are built for IE, and may not work properly on alternative browsers, so the problem could be the other way around. Download clients should not be affected as much, if at all, but the trend seems to be towards non-download browser based casinos. The new Intercasino offering no longer provides for a download client, and everything is going to be browser based, and vulnerable to browser issues and peak time bandwidth issues due to more data being pulled from the remote server during play.

Whether download or browser, the data pulled should be similar. In fact in MG's case it would be less, as you aren't continually downloading gamelogs and games while you play.

Similar during play, yes, but not when launching a fresh game. Instead of using a local client copy, the game itself has to be downloaded afresh each time. I noticed this with the old Lasseters casino as it also indicated how much data was being requested, and it was often several megabytes. During peak times, this can cause the game to take some time to launch due to internet congestion, as well as contribute towards any capped data allowance (including "fair use" policies where your speed is cut dramatically once a limit has been reached). Hopping from game to game during a session would be the majority of that session's bandwidth use.

That's not an offer by the way :eek:, I would like to know if anyone else finds the MG browser based games painfully slow to download? I often see the green loading bar get to around 30% and then stall. After a minute I give up and play a NetEnt instead. For me MG is strictly download only - which is miles better than any browser based casino as you only have to download each game once.

I have had this problem with browser based games. I also find that once downloaded, the gameplay is very "laggy" compared to the download. Some MGS games are HUGE, and this would be why they load so slowly, and sometimes stall.
