Are slots bad for everyone?

Certainly seems like it. One thing that I can't work out is the enhanced stake button on no limit slots. The likes of Folsom prison etc , when you turn it on the stake increases by something like 4/5p. Same with the rave etc.
It's like they've seen its popular and ramped it right up. Their most recent slots ask for double the stake etc.

Same with pragmatics. Some of them are a slight increase whereas others as double the stake etc. And there's absolutely no information (I must admit I haven't done much searching tho so could be wrong) on how much it actually increases your chances.

Another thing, the new Amazon big bass splash, the fish don't even count as a win if you land a few on the reels!
It's like they're seeing how much piss taking they can get away with. You can picture them all holding in stifled laughter as they watch people plug away at their slots

Actually the one I've been playing has been paying out well recently, and it's not often I say that! Plenty of bonus rounds, back to back free spins as well which I looove. The other day I got at least 5 lots of free spins retriggers which amounted to about 75 or more free spins altogether. It was mental, couldn't believe my luck to have that many in a row, very rare and went on for ages lol. I have to say they were nearly all dead though which goes to show how bad slots are in general. It paid out ok just by sheer number of free spins (x3 multiplier) but still, couldn't help but think it could've been soo much more. Got a nice 5 of a kind win last night though which was £180 for 20p.

Slingo however suuuuucks right now. Hope your luck improves.

Suppose like most players , my play is hot or cold, sometimes everything pays other times I wonder why I bother.
Things have definately changed over the last few years though, almost impossible to get a decent amount of gameplay
for deposits, probably down to the insane volitility of a lot stuff churned out now.
Really going off Pragmatics, with nearly all the features they just deadspin out once they have paid out what they intend to.
Had shocking result on a Bass Splash £100 bonus buy the other day, paid 2 bloody pounds, thats just taking
the piss.
Having far more success on Crypto in general though, can play for hours on small stake bonus buys, you need to be very selective
on which ones though, avoid Hacksaw totally,Push Gaming is all or nothing, a few NLC are ok.
More or less written off UK casinos, all the regulations and removal of game functions I just find it a miserable experience.

I actually had a good week, until i hit hacksaw slots yesterday.... and its gone

Dont touch Slingo with a bargepole, the one type of game that I would happily see banned, its designed as a pure chasing game,
starts off gentle then before you know it you are staking a fortune chasing your total spend and its rarely turns out well.
Really evil game.
I know, it really is bad. Surprised the UKGC haven't done anything about it yet, I mean I've got 20p a line max on some sites slots yet slingo you can do £5 a go and then buy extra spins for what could end up totalling £100+. Luckily I put a max amount of only a couple extra spins on most of them. And I play the demo of it a lot instead.

@L&L-Jan I've never played that game and I'm just being dumb but where is the win? 👀 I can't figure out what I'm looking at lol. But well done anyway, it must've been epic nonetheless.

Doubt whether the UKGC have any idea what Slingo is or if they do have never played it.
32red offer free spins on it for new customers and push it on their ads, totally irresponsible
Hit lucky on it many years ago, £5 stake, filled the grid up without a single extra buy and won £5,k obviously
predetermined, probably happens once in every few million games, would soon take that back and more but
not from me

@winner2021 returned from feature, got 10 spins + 4 retrigger. Collected over 40 euros with a 50x multiplier, plus pocket change

Slingo is very pre-determined. If it's gonna pay out it will without much effort. By chasing the bigger wins you're actually decreasing your chances of winning overall on some games. Eg. Slingo Rainbow Riches has an RTP of 95.6% but each additional spin has an RTP of 94.92% and that's using 'best strategy'.
I recorded many hundreds of games on this and I worked out I would have lost less just by playing the standard spins and not paying for any extras. It's not as exciting that way though.
Deal or No Deal Slingo is another regular of mine and that's at a set 95% for base spins and extras but it has phases. I've lost 18 games on the trot immediately followed by winning 13 games on the trot on that one, but yes, best avoided if you're liable to stop thinking logically and keep hoping for that one number to come up that'll give you three or four more lines. I learnt the hard way!

Regarding the topic, this year my RTP on all slots except Bonanza is at 84.49% and that's on slots that have a theoretical 94%+ RTP.
On Bonanza I'm on 95.64% but May and June have been hopeless on it - 84.14% and 83.85%.

Considering these games are 'random' it's amazing how the RTPs are so similar, and I'm talking about 200,000 spins this year.
I'm taking a rest right now as the past two months have really hit my bank account. I've got better things to spend my money on.

From having a session where bonuses came freely and paid well last week (250 in, 800 out), to hitting bugger all the next one (700 in, 230 out).

The last session I had 77c left before wild frames paid $50, then Tome of madness sealed the deal with $200. Was lucky to cash out at all and decided to take a couple months off the slots once I play out my Cashback next week. Sometimes it pays to reset with a break.

Yep - all slots are TERRIBLE at the moment

To be fair, I had a very good May. But once we hit mid-June, they all reverted to the shite they have all been since the massive cuts in RTP over the last couple of years.
Many of my old favourites are totally unplayable at the lower RTP and most of the others are a real struggle to hit on.

Oh well, it's the casinos' loss - my deposits are WAY down on what they were a few years back.

I played in Yako Casino from £20 I cashout £1200, next day I made deposit £100 100% bonus on another UK casino £200 lost all very fast,on low stake 20p 40p May felt like every casino switched rtp off lol

I managed to do that one time too-I think I had staked either £5 or £10 and filled the whole grid in one go-it paid out £1k which was nice but a bit disappointing considering the stake. How come the highest bonus is so often disappointing?! I can hit a 100x on the very lowest bonus sometimes and then the highest one can be a mixture of just 10x and 25x. This is on fluffy favourites anyway. It ought to be worth it once you get to the top, and way above what you can get on the other bonuses. Well done to you though, and even moreso for not playing it back-you are right that kind of balance could go so quick it's scary.

I agree about pushing stuff being irresponsible. Don't even get me started on slots prize draws...I got a major slots addiction through this crap being advertised on bingo sites and I think it's totally not on to be advertising it on sites where people are not primarily on it for slots or slingo. Even if you are a slots player, prize draws feed the addiction because you think you'll get it back in the draw, which you end up winning about £10 on....I could go on and on, I should be on the UKGC really! I have so many suggestions...

Ah I get it now, thanks! I will have to look out for that game. Very well done to you.

@Schind Yeh I'm mostly doing the same thing now and not paying for any extra spins on slingo, or if I do it's just enough to get on the grid. Can be hard to keep in control but as long as you do and just pray for a 100x or free spins (rare) you can play for quite a while and end up with a profit. I'm not good with the maths and RTP side of it so this was an interesting read. You guys will laugh but I actually only started checking the RTP of slots this year, I just played which slots were most appealing to me before (bonus rounds I liked usually) now I'm being much more selective based on the RTP. It's quite shocking once you actually check them all, although it shouldn't be cos I know they are mostly god awful now.

If you must play Slingo, would advise that you play for the fixed prize structure ones like red hot xxx, that pays 1000x for
a full grid. The feature types like rainbow riches or the pig shit one can pay rubbish, far better to know what you are playing for.

@shadow123 ah thank you, I'll try to remember that! Have only mainly played fluffy and rainbow riches and a couple others that were similar. I'm about done with slingo now anyway, I'm getting my fix from the demos instead.

I believe it's not since it is the easiest game to play if you like playing at online casinos. It becomes bad if it stresses you out or if you use too much of your money to play so its best to set limits in playing.
