HALLOWEEN FEEL IN LATEST MICROGAMING RELEASES

Monsters, Aussies, Penguins, Deuces Wild Poker and a pub fruitie in new games for October

The customary monthly arrival of new online games from Microgaming includes five instead of the usual four releases in October, covering slots, VP and even a 'pub fruitie' game that gives players the chance to use interactive skills.

In keeping with the Halloween season, the flagship game in the releases is Boogie Monsters, a colourful 40 pay-line, 5 reel video slot with multiple reward opportunities. Players can mix it up with a rock n roll witch, whacky werewolf, garish ghouls and a host of other zany characters in a slot that delivers spine-chilling sounds, a second screen bonus game, free spins and - for the fortunate - significant rewards.

The eerily glowing blue lamp and the chubby bats are the symbols for magic returns on this game. Rack up 3, 4 or 5 lamps and watch the free spins with major multiplier impact on winnings unfold in an new game recorded on the accumulative bonus meter.

And when 3, 4 or 5 bats flit onto the display, hang in for a real trip - there's the possibility of up to 100 times winnings and admission to the second screen bonus feature called Fat Bat Bonus. This takes the player into a haunted attic full of dusty hiding places for rotund bats. Shining a flashlight delivers a choice of 3 out of 12 of the creatures, with potential multiplier power of up to 60X.

Moving on to that big, bold Australian continent downunder is the latest video slot to join the Microgaming games inventory - No Worries.

The theme of this 5 reel, 9 pay-line game is all Australian, replete with Kookaburras, Wombats, cuddly Koalas, laidback Kangaroos....and Free Spin boomerangs to multiply rewards. This is a true-blue Aussie video slot with Wilds, Scatters, Free Spins, multiple multipliers and even a Gamble feature at the end of a Free Spin cycle. And there's an ice-cold Tinny with a hot 1x multiplier that can fall onto the last reel and add more moolah.

Five Boomerangs across the reels trigger a Free Spin feature where up to 25 Free Spins can be won, and for those in the mood for some real gambling there's a Pick-a-Prize opportunity where the player can re-play Free Spins.

By forfeiting original wins, the player gambles on improving the results in this option. Alternatively, players may prefer to collect on the original win.or take a flyer on a mystery prize that could be anywhere from 2x to 150x total bet.

VP players are catered for with the latest addition to the 4 hand Power Poker range at Microgaming - Bonus Deuces Wild. The game offers a maximum achievable win of 100 000.00, or a second highest reward of 64 000.00, Bonus Deuces Wild on a generous pay-table in a fast-moving game.

The growing popularity of the British fruit machine 3 reel 1 pay-line gaming style has prompted Microgaming to offer this more player-interactive and skilled form of entertainment in its latest game offering: You Lucky Barstard!

Spiced up with a bonus feature that can offer 250x rewards, winnings up to 10 000.00 can be achieved through a combination of luck and player skill in an easy-to-use and fast moving game. Enhancing the interaction are typical skill features like nudge, nudge hold, nudge bank hold and nudge repeat.

Three black bars in a row trigger the bonus feature in this compelling game, where the bonus is built around a skill-shot ladder.

Branded with typically robust British humour, the theme of You Lucky Barstard is based on a slick television show, with the flashing lights and fast-talking host common to the genre and high quality sound effects and graphics.

Finally, the Path of the Penguin is a fun 5 reel 25 pay-line video slot that has a truly cool, if somewhat unlikely Ninja Penguin theme carried by comical artwork and backed by fast action.

Blending a freezing fishy theme with a martial arts tradition is no mean feat, and the imaginative and vivid graphics on Path of the Penguin showcase an intriguing combination in characters such as the Nunchaku Squid, Samurai Walrus and Snowflake Shuriken!

Players will be hoping for the big win generators like the Ninja Penguin that runs Wild and links different symbols into wins, or the "Scatter" possibilities of the ice cube, which also acts as the gateway to the second screen bonus feature.

Spin up 3 or more ice cubes, and five free spins are immediately awarded, followed by entry to the bonus game where 5 very martial looking penguins await the player's order to smash up to three of the 5 ice cubes on display. The broken ice cubes will reveal either monetary prizes to be multiplied by the triggering bet, or more free spins where the rewards are tripled.

Six

You forgot the sixth new game,

Find which existing games still work when you refuse the update and elect to proceed to go to the lobby and play.

I tried:-

1) Make a deposit, nope - lost - have to accept the update.

2) Tomb Raider Tournament - nope lost AGAIN DAMMIT:mad: Still have to accept the update.

3) Accept update - WINNER:D I can play "watch paint dry (or casino update)" for 2 hours:mad:

4) This introduces a seventh game, "spot the new games"

Go to "new games" list -- LOST AGAIN:mad::mad: Still shows last month's games.
Tried again, scrolled down the slots list - FOUND EM - Do I get a prize:rolleyes:
The final game involves multiple launching of the casino to unstick the failed upgrades until that annoying symbol in the top right disappears.
This symbol is two monitors comminicating with each other, next to the clock, it means "juddery and jerky reels for the next 2 hours - if your play is not urgent, please try another casino":p

EDIT
I have just been interrupted by three tiny fairies at the door.
I gave them three soft centred Quality Street each and got 9 wishes (3 from each fairy).

Wish one "Let Virtual group sink into obscurity by christmas"
Wish two "May MG release bug free software"
Wish three "May I be Moolahed for 4Mill this year"
Wish 4 "May I win the weekender this week"

I have decided to save the rest for later. I DID read the "small print", and it was small indeed!!! It seems the payout on wishes is only 50%, and is entirely random (don't believe a word - they looked rigged to me:D)
Knowing my luck I will only get the first one granted, with a payout of 25%:D

Happy Halloween (and to ensure this, don't even think of firing up an MG casino with a pending upgrade;)).
