For years, our Stake verdict said they "could be a market leader in the crypto gambling niche… unfortunately, they are unable to chew gum and walk at the same time." Stake sat in our "avoid like the plague" pile, and we made no secret of why.
Stake is a pretty good casino overall. Over 6,000 games, instant crypto withdrawals and a platform that cuts way above plenty of its competitors. But the sheer volume of complaints, poor transparency and frustrating approach to support gave us very little reason to recommend it. Even now, there are plenty of things we'd like to see improved, particularly around KYC requirements and Responsible Gambling.
Stake has promised to go back and respond to outstanding complaints, and to keep doing so going forward. Normally we'd take that with a heavy dose of salt. Casinos tell us this kind of thing fairly often to try to buy their way back into our good graces, which we never fall for by the way. In Stake's case, though, they actually stepped up and resolved the pending cases we sent over. That's not nothing, and it's more than plenty of operators do.
We won’t forget the past or suddenly start singing Stake's praises. But if a casino steps up and resolves players complaints, we’ve always been willing to give it another chance. Stake did the work, so it’s earned one.

Not to dwell on old business but we had a Warning against Stake for a few years, the issue being an unsatisfactory level of care and attention to player complaints. I’m happy to report that that now seems to have been resolved and Stake has quite successfully come through a period of revisiting and clearing up old cases. At this point we’re satisfied that the slate should be cleaned and the casino given the opportunity to present themselves to our readership in a new light.
Self-exclusion at Stake seems to be something they take seriously because they’ve written a lot about it; unfortunately they don’t make it clear what the actual process is nor any specific commitment regarding processing time of a Self-exclusion request. Such info would be most welcome. Complaints handling is officially an “us then the courts of Curaçao” situation which is underwhelming. Appointing an Alternate Dispute Resolution service and/or opening cases to 3rd party arbitration would significantly improve their position on complaints: they’re almost there, taking that final step would, again, be most welcome.
All in all Stake seems like a well-run operation that now, thankfully, shows every sign of being cooperative regarding player complaints: a tentative thumbs-up and the old Stake Warning at Casinomeister has been withdrawn.

Stake Casino Bonuses and Promotions
Say what you like about Stake, they run some of the best casino bonuses in the industry. In other words, their promotions aren’t lazy. Instead of the usual “here are some free spins,” you get races, raffles, challenges, and prize pools reaching into six figures with a promotion running most days.
Unfortunately, I think they could be a bit more transparent in their bonus terms and conditions. Finding out how these promotions work is far more complicated than it needs to be. Click into a promotion, and you’ll usually get a short description of what it is, but very little information about how to actually complete it. Instead, the details are scattered across promotional pages and general bonus terms, leaving players to piece everything together themselves.
Yes, the terms cover the usual stuff: don’t use multiple accounts, don’t breach the rules, don’t expect your prize instantly, and remember that Stake reserves the right to void, suspend, or amend a promotion if necessary. Fine. Most casinos do that anyway and experienced players know not to break the rules. But where is the information that matters? How much do you need to wager? What counts towards the promotion? How do you actually complete it? What’s the point of having a bonus page if players are left guessing how to qualify?
The general bonus terms don’t exactly fill in the gaps, either. Stake says its deposit bonus requirement is based on a 4% house edge, meaning rollover progress depends on the games you play. A game with a 1% house edge contributes just $0.25 toward the requirement for every $1 wagered. So, if the requirement were $1,000, you’d need to wager $4,000 on a 1% house-edge game to complete it. A 4% house-edge game, meanwhile, would mean $1,000 wagered contributes the full $1,000. That’s a pretty significant difference, yet this information is buried away in the general terms rather than being made clear alongside the promotion itself.
VIP and Loyalty Programme
Stake is upfront about its VIP programme, which is more than can be said for many casinos out there. It publishes the actual thresholds, so you know what you’re dealing with. And what you’re dealing with is a programme built for high rollers: Bronze starts at $10,000 in wagering, Gold at $100,000, Platinum at $250,000, while Diamond requires a frankly absurd $25 million.
So take the “unrivalled VIP experience” line with a pinch of salt. This is a retention tool for high rollers, plain and simple. But if you are a high roller, the rewards on offer, rakeback, reloads, level-up payments, a dedicated host, are more than a lot of VIP schemes can claim.
Stake Casino Payment Options and Withdrawal Speed
Stake is a crypto casino, and their payment range is nothing short of impressive. Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, XRP, TRON, Binance Coin, USDC, DAI and Tether are all supported for deposits and withdrawals. Local-currency options are also available through third-party providers. Crypto withdrawals are advertised as immediate, which is standard at crypto casinos.
The range is solid, but the fees deserve a closer look. Stake has no maximum withdrawal limit, but crypto withdrawals have individual minimums and fees. A BTC withdrawal, for example, has a minimum of 0.00002504 BTC with a 0.00001571 BTC fee, while USDT requires at least 2.50 USDT and charges 1 USDT. Those costs can sting on smaller withdrawals, so check the figure shown on the withdrawal screen before cashing out.
KYC may also be required, along with the usual proof of identity and address documents. But keep in mind that you may have to do a little digging to get the full picture on the KYC.

Stake certainly isn’t short on game providers. The list runs from big names like Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Hacksaw Gaming and Nolimit City, to a huge collection of smaller and lesser-known studios, alongside Stake’s own games. That’s a sizable catalogue, and there’s enough variety here to keep most casino players occupied.
All the games available at Stake Casino can be played in instant play mode, and most are mobile-optimised, so you can enjoy playing them from your mobile devices.

With 6,000+ casino games, Stake certainly isn’t short on choice, and slots make up a considerable chunk of the library. You’ll find the usual big names, including Gates of Olympus, Sweet Bonanza and Big Bass, alongside plenty of less familiar titles.
I do like being able to see how many players are currently playing each game. It’s a cool feature, although popularity shouldn’t be mistaken for a recommendation. Play what you actually want to play, not whatever happens to have the biggest crowd.
There are also plenty of exclusive titles, which gives players something beyond the standard selection. A pleasant change of scenery compared to most run-of-the-mill online casinos.
Live Casino
Stake’s live casino covers the expected bases, with real dealers, HD streams and blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker and game shows. Evolution provides plenty of the big-name options, including Lightning Roulette, Infinite Blackjack, Crazy Time and Monopoly Live, with lower-limit tables alongside VIP options for high rollers.
There are also First Person versions of games such as roulette and baccarat, which use RNG rather than live dealers. Nothing revolutionary, but they can be useful for getting familiar with a game before moving to the live tables.
Stake Casino Experience and Features
If you know anything about online casinos, you’ll probably know Stake. Between its former F1 team branding and Drake’s livestreams, it’s hardly an obscure name.
The live leaderboards are a great feature. They’re regularly updating with players winning. That said, it’s worth keeping your head here: just because Craig from Canada supposedly won X amount on Space Wars doesn’t mean that win is relevant to you, or that you need to pile into the same game.
There’s an iOS app, but no Android equivalent. Hardly a dealbreaker when the mobile browser works perfectly well.
Responsible Gambling
This certainly looks to have improved since the last time we reviewed Stake. The Responsible Gambling section now has its own dedicated space in the footer, with Stake Smart, a signs-to-look-out-for guide, FAQs, a self-assessment quiz and budget calculator, alongside practical deposit, wager and loss limits, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion.
Compared with our previous review, this is a definite step in the right direction. The tools are considerably more substantial than a token “gamble responsibly” disclaimer, and they’re at least easy enough to find.
About the Stake Casino Team and History
Stake was founded in 2017 by Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani and quickly grew from a crypto casino into a global gambling brand through huge marketing deals, livestreaming and sports sponsorships.
In early 2025, a Stake-branded marketing stunt drew UK Gambling Commission scrutiny over the operator’s advertising. TGP Europe, which ran Stake.uk.com under a white-label agreement, stopped new registrations, and the site left the British market in March 2025.
TGP had been fined £316,250 by the UK Gambling Commission in 2023 for AML and social responsibility failures. Then, in May 2025, rather than pay a further £3.3 million penalty over separate AML and due-diligence failures, TGP surrendered its UK licence and left the market.
To be completely fair, those penalties were imposed on TGP Europe, not Medium Rare N.V. But given Stake’s previous UK operation was one of TGP’s white-label sites, it’s something to keep in mind as a piece of history.
Yet, once you leave the past right where it belongs, you’d be hard-pressed to call Stake a bad casino. They’ve put in the work to redeem themselves in our books, so we’ve got no reason to believe the bumpy history should continue to define Stake in any way anymore.

There’s certainly no shortage of conversation around Stake. As one of the biggest names in online gambling, Stake naturally attracts plenty of attention, and player discussions cover everything from customer support to data privacy and withdrawal concerns. Have a look at what players have to say:

Complaints and Track Record
Stake was once something of a black hole when it came to complaints, with grievances piling up and seemingly going nowhere. As you can imagine, that sits completely at odds with our philosophy. Stake has now gone back and resolved those outstanding complaints, which is a great step in the right direction. It’s made a pretty convincing comeback, which now gives us little reason to dwell on the complaints from before.
Still, it’s worth noting that Stake isn’t available everywhere. The restricted list includes Australia (despite both founders being Australian), alongside Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Malta, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Ontario, and even Curaçao itself. That’s an interesting list, and one players should check before getting too invested.

Customer Support at Stake Casino
Stake offers 24/7 live chat, email, and an FAQ section. You won’t be able to access live chat without an account, though, which isn’t exactly ideal for players who like to test things around before making a commitment.
There’s also a heavy reliance on FAQs, which isn’t much of a downside, especially when you consider players who are yet to sign up.
The email’s marginally slower than any other option, but that’s how it goes with most online casinos, so nothing out of the ordinary at Stake.
