Red Dog Casino Review

A ROGUE casino that illegally takes UK bets

By Alex Smith, Last updated May 8, 2024

Casinomeister's Verdict

Red Dog Casino may look like an upstanding online casino, but don’t let the site’s slick and modern design fool you. This Curacao-licensed casino is about as rogue as they come, illegally accepting bets from UK players and withholding winnings for no apparent reason at times.

We recommend you stay away from Red Dog Casino at all costs. Find out why – and what else should turn you away from playing here – in this Red Dog Casino review. Red Dog Casino’s bonuses and promotions are up first…

First Impression

Red Dog Casino is a rogue online casino here at Casinomeister. The site has been involved with a plethora of problems, including slow/non-existent withdrawals, taking bets (illegally) from players located in the United Kingdom, and, as a Curacao-licensed site, they aren’t really regulated, either.

Unfortunately, many casino reviews websites outright lie about Red Dog Casino, recommending it and proclaiming it’s a ‘safe and fair’ casino. The reality couldn’t be further from the truth – and while their website may look professional, up-to-date and user-friendly, don’t let the slick navigation fool you.

Red Dog Casino is also powered almost entirely by Realtime Gaming. They claim to work with Visionary iGaming, but we were unable to see any of their games – and Red Dog Casino doesn’t currently offer any live dealer games or progressive jackpots either.

While we strongly recommend you stay away from Red Dog Casino, we’ve put together this honest and impartial review to give you a better idea of what you can expect should you choose to play at Red Dog Casino – and we’ll begin by taking a look at the main welcome bonus offered to new customers.

  • Large selection of Realtime Gaming games

  • Curacao-licensed

  • Illegally takes bets from UK players

  • No live dealer games or progressive jackpots

  • Slow withdrawals (if they're ever processed)

Bonuses and Promotions

Red Dog Casino has a few promotions and bonuses available to players – although, while they may look attractive, don’t be mistaken into claiming them. Red Dog Casino is rogue here at Casinomeister, and there’s a good chance that they’ll refuse to pay out winnings.

Welcome Bonus

Like most online casinos, Red Dog Casino offers new players a wide variety of promotions, and this deposit bonus is delivered in the form of a 225% matched deposit bonus. Players depositing using Bitcoin or Neosurf also get an additional 20%, bringing the total deposit bonus to 245%.

Like most welcome bonus promotions, Red Dog Casino has a number of terms and conditions; the minimum deposit varies depending on which payment method you choose to use. The minimum deposit for Neosurf is $10, $20 for Bitcoin, $25 for IGC and $30 for PayID and debit and credit cards.

In order to claim the welcome bonus, you need to enter the code “WAGGINGTAILS”, and the maximum cashout is just 30X the total bonus amount. The maximum bet while playing with the deposit bonus funds is $10, and the wagering requirements of the deposit bonus are 35X the total bonus PLUS deposit.

If for any reason you do choose to play at Red Dog Casino, and want to claim their new-player deposit bonus, we’d strongly recommend reading the terms and conditions very carefully to ensure you avoid breaching any of the bonuses terms. Do so, and it’s almost certain the casino will forfeit your winnings and refuse to process any withdrawal requests.

No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers

At the time of writing, Red Dog Casino doesn’t offer any no-deposit bonuses or no-deposit free spins promotions. If this changes, we’ll update this welcome bonus section accordingly.

According to our research, Red Dog Casino doesn’t usually run free spins promotions – although when new games come out they do sometimes run special promos around those games.

VIP and Loyalty Programs

While Red Dog Casino doesn’t appear to operate a VIP or Loyalty program, they do offer something that’s called The Superdog Bonus. This promotion sounds amazing – and it’s a classic case of something being too good to be true.

Any deposit you make – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – is eligible to claim this so-called superdog bonus, and there’s three different bonuses available. If you make a $30 deposit you’ll get to claim a 125% match, a $75 deposit lets you claim a 135% match, and a $150 deposit lets you claim a $150 match.

In order to claim this superdog bonus, you need to enter a code, and the wagering requirements are always 35X. Video poker and certain other games are excluded from being able to claim the bonus, and the maximum bet while playing with bonus funds is $10.

When it comes to making deposits and withdrawals at Red Dog Casino, the site offers a pretty small selection of methods for you to choose from – and there’s far fewer options than found at most casinos today.

For deposits, you’ll be able to fund your account using major debit and credit cards, including VISA and MasterCard, Neosurf, PayID, and two cryptocurrencies; Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Neosurf offers the lowest minimum deposit limit – $10 – while debit and credit cards and PayID have a minimum of $30. If you choose to make a deposit using one of the two cryptocurrencies on offer, the minimum deposit is $20.

Red Dog Casino claims not to charge any fees when you make a deposit; however, your card issuer may charge a fee, especially if you’re depositing in a currency that’s not that of your bank’s.

Withdrawal Speed

Unfortunately, when it comes to the withdrawal methods at Red Dog Casino, the site offers even fewer options – and there’s just three ways for you to make a withdrawal; debit and credit cards, a Bank Wire and Bitcoin.

The processing times are very long – with Bitcoin withdrawals taking 1-3 business days to process! Virtually all crypto casinos process crypto withdrawals instantly – so we have no idea why it takes Red Dog Casino so long.

Withdrawals made via Bank Wire take 5 business days to process, and those made using debit and credit cards take 3-4 business days. Disappointingly, the withdrawal limits are also really low – and the minimum withdrawal, really high.

The minimum withdrawal amount is a whopping $150 for all payment methods – and the maximum, for all, is just $2,500. While the casino claims to charge no fees for withdrawals, you are likely to incur a fee if you withdraw in a currency that your bank/card doesn’t support.

Responsible Gaming

Red Dog Casino has made a significant commitment to shield its players from gambling harm and has put in motion a series of procedures to do so. All of this information can be found in the online casino’s ‘About Us’ section, which is accessible through a link at the bottom of the home page.

Customers may use these resources by going to their profile and clicking on the links to the ‘Responsible Gambling’ page. They can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits, as well as take a break for a set amount of time, as well as get updates on how long they’ve been playing.

They can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits, as well as take a break for a set amount of time, as well as get updates on how long they’ve been playing. We were really happy to see these options available at Red Dog Casino, as this is something you don’t normally see at crypto-focused casinos; usually, the only responsible gambling tools you will find yourself able to utilise is self exclusion and/timeout.

Users can also self-exclude from the platform for a period of six months or five years, blocking all access to Red Dog Casino.

Red Dog Casino is also dedicated to preventing underage gaming, with all players under the age of 18 forfeiting all winnings. These users may be reported to the appropriate authorities as well.

Furthermore, all players are encouraged to use third-party programs to prevent minors under the age of 18 from accessing the platform or any other objectionable material on the internet. Cyberpatrol, Cybersitter, and Net Nanny are all approved choices according to Red Dog Casino.

Customer Support

When it comes to customer support, Red Dog Casino has clearly worked hard to make it look like they’ve set up a support facility that is accessible to all players and ensures that you can get the help and support you need at all times of day. You will be able to reach one of the customer support representatives 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and to get started, simply click on the support link on the website footer section.

There are two primary ways that you can contact the customer support team at Red Dog Casino, and the first way is to use a real-time messaging service called live chat. Live chat connects you with one of the customer support representatives in just a few seconds, and once the connection has been established, you will be able to talk through your problem or query with one of the representatives immediately.

We were really happy to find that the live chat facility also works on mobile devices, although if you are talking to one of the support agents from your mobile device, we would recommend not navigating away from the page, as this could result in you having to restart the conversation.

If, for some reason, the live chat facility does not work for you, or you simply prefer not to use such a system, you can also reach the casino’s customer support team through email. However, as you can probably imagine, the waiting times using email are significantly longer, and you may find yourself waiting up to 12-24 hours to receive a response to your questions.

However, like all rogue casinos, Red Dog Casino will almost certainly ‘show you the hand’ should you ever run into real problems that revolve around you actually winning at the casino. Stay away; you’ve been warned.

Website Experience and Features

Desktop and Mobile Gaming

While our team was writing this Red Dog Casino review they made sure to check out how the site performed in a number of areas. One of the areas in which they looked at was the websites of speed and functionality, and for the most part, the online gambling platform does a pretty good job. We found the website’s pages to load really quickly, and games took just a second or 2 to render and load.

It’s also really easy to navigate around the casino thanks to the centralised navigation menu which appears at the top of every page. This allows you to access the various areas of the casino.

When it comes to mobile gaming, Red Dog Casino also does a fairly decent job. While their website is arguably not the best mobile-optimised casino we have ever seen, Red Dog Casino have ensured that players from all devices including smartphones and tablets can enjoy their favourite games from their mobile device’s Internet browser.

Open up your Internet browser and head directly to the Red Dog Casino website. You will then be automatically redirected to a mobile-friendly version of the casino.

The time of writing, Red Dog Casino does not offer a dedicated mobile app, but if this changes in the future we will be sure to update this Red Dog Casino review accordingly.

RTP Tracker

While it should be noted that Red Dog Casino is considered rogue here at Casinomeister, there was one notable feature that we wanted to point out – and that’s the casino’s RTP Report. This is found in the footer area of the website, and takes you to a page which is updated each month.

Here, you can view the RTPs for all of the games Red Dog Casino offers, and you can view the biggest win of that month along with the number of game rounds that have been played in the last 30-day period.

While this may seem like a nice feature, it’s worth pointing out that there’s no proof that this is reliable information; for all we know, the casino could be putting this list together themselves and choosing which figures to include!

However, it was something we wanted to point out – and it’s something that we’ve seen at a number of casinos, perhaps most notably Videoslots, who started doing something similar many years ago.

Unfortunately, the RTP Tracker doesn’t show what the game’s expected RTP is – so another negative is that you have no way of actually knowing how far – or close – a game is performing to its expected RTP.

Brand games

As Red Dog Casino is entirely RTG-powered you won’t find games from any other software providers here. While this may put some players off, those located in the United States will probably be used to this – and, what’s more, if you like RTG games then you shouldn’t run into any problems.

We should also point out that while writing this Red Dog Casino review, we were incredibly happy to find that all games are available to enjoy in so-called instant play mode. This didn’t always used to be the case with RTG – and, in the past, you had to download their desktop software client to be able to play. That’s not the case anymore – and you can enjoy all of their games right from your device’s internet browser.

Like most online casinos, slots are the core type of game available at Red Dog Casino, and all of these casino games can be found under the ‘slots’ tab. While writing this casino review, Red Dog Casino showed us they offer a pretty small selection of slot games – and, unsurprisingly, they’re all provided by Realtime Gaming.

This means that you won’t find any of the most iconic video slots like you’d see at other online casinos, and when you play at Red Dog Casino you’ll be pretty limited in terms of choice.

Some of the popular slot games available, at the time of writing, include Big Shot, Fruit Bowl XXV, Jackpot Pinatas and Paydirt.

Live Casino

In what could well be a first for us here, while writing this Red Dog Casino review, we were astounded to find that the site does not offer any live dealer games. This is incredibly surprising – especially for an online gambling website in today’s day and age – and we feel that it’s a massive letdown for the company not to offer any live dealer games.

Of course, you will find a large selection of virtual casino games – including the likes of Roulette and Blackjack – but today, more players than ever before are looking to play live casino games and nothing else.

It wouldn’t be hard for Red Dog Casino to partner up with the likes of Evolution Gaming – or even some of the small live casino developers like Visionary iGaming or Ezugi – to offer players at the casino a much greater variety of games.

If and when Red Dog Casino does indeed add live dealer games to their game range, we will be sure to update this Red Dog Casino review accordingly – but for now, if you’re looking to play live casino games, you’re playing at another casino.

Table Games and Video Poker

Despite an overwhelmingly poor selection of games, on the whole, Red Dog Casino actually offers a fairly large selection of casino table games and video poker – all provided by Realtime Gaming, of course.

The video poker games are found under the ‘poker’ tab, and here, you’ll find titles including Aces & Eights, All American Poker, Bonus Deuces, Bonus Poker, Deuces Wild, Double Double Jackpot Poker, European Slot Poker and Jacks or Better Poker.

Under the ‘tables’ tab is where you’ll find all of the other casino table games, which includes the likes of Caribbean Draw Poker, Caribbean Hold’em, Caribbean Stud Poker, Baccarat, Craps, Let em’ Ride, Pai Gow Poker, Red Dog and Texas Hold’em Poker.

There’s also a tab called specialities, and here, you’ll find a selection of instant win games, including Bonus Bingo, Banana Jones, Hot Dice, Fish Catch, Keno and Roaring Twenties Bingo.

Progressive Jackpots

Red Dog Casino is also one of the first online casinos we’ve reviewed that doesn’t offer progressive jackpot games. This came as a surprise to us – especially since the online casino offers games from Realtime Gaming who do offer jackpot games.

When you play at Red Dog Casino, you won’t find any progressive jackpot slots, casino table games or video poker machines. This is likely going to be a major letdown for many players, and it’s yet another reason why the online casino isn’t recommended by us.

There are plenty of great, legitimate Realtime Gaming/crypto casinos where you can play progressive jackpot games, and we feel that if an online casino doesn’t offer live dealer games – and progressive jackpots – then it’s a pretty good warning sign to stay away!

About the Team and History

Red Dog Casino is owned and operated by a company called ArbathSolutions OU and they hold an online gambling license in Curacao. Red Dog Casino is powered by Realtime Gaming, and the site focuses on a number of games.

Unfortunately, Red Dog Casino has a pretty poor reputation – one of the many reasons why they’re rogue here at Casinomeister – and the team behind Red Dog Casino have been involved in using strong legal arm tactics to try and make our friend – The Pogg – remove negative, factually accurate information from their website.

According to The Pogg: “They wanted all mention of ‘Arbath Solutions’ removed from their review, claiming to no longer have any relationship with this company. However at the time these claims were made their Gaming Curacao license page was still clearly listing ArbathSolutions OU as their license holder.

Even where there was a ‘new’ company listed as holding this license – which as of the present time (21/12/2019 – we can see nothing that would confirm this claim, Arbath Solutions would still be listed as ‘Historically Associated’ with Red Dog Casino as this is factually accurate. Apparently, nothing short of complete removal of any reference of this name would apparently be acceptable to Red Dog Casino.

Complaints and Track Record

While writing this review, Red Dog Casino showed us that they have a mixed bag of reviews online. To get a better idea of how the casino treats its players, we looked both at the forums here at Casinomeister and other Red Dog Casino review websites.

We should point out that while some parts of this Red Dog Casino review may portray the casino in a positive light, we do not recommend playing here. To write this review, we feel it’s important to be impartial, so we’ve highlighted the positive aspects of the site. However, a quick look at the forum shows some worrying trends.

First of all, one forum member called Cheeseandbeans posted the following:

“I deposited a few times with red dog casino. I played a few games and wanted to cash out. Usual thing, asking me to jump through hoops to get my money back.

I emailed them asking for them to pay out my money and also bringing to their attention they don’t have a UK gaming licence so I shouldn’t have taken my business in the first place etc. etc.

This was the response. Does it seem right?

I understand your frustration; however, let me please explain and make it more clear to you.

It’s true that casinos operated in the UK need to have a license to provide customers with gambling services. But if you read the UK Gambling Law closely, you will notice that the UKGC license is only needed once you operate the casinos in the UK.

The most recent update to the UK gambling legislation, the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014, postulates that all remote gambling operators providing services to customers in the UK need to obtain a license from the UK Gambling Commission. Prior to 2014, operators whose gambling facilities had been available to British residents but their equipment had not been located in the UK didn’t need to acquire a UKGC license. Or in other words, this Act regulates remote gambling operations based on the point of consumption instead of at the point of supply.

We are a licensed Casino in Curacao and located in Curacao, which means this is an offshore Casino for the UK players to play in. We operate legally worldwide, and UK players are allowed to play with us even according to the UK Gambling Law.

That means you can continue playing with us and enjoying the games; I can definitely assure you that it is safe and sound to stay with us and 100% legal to play in a licensed Casino even if it was licensed overseas.

Sure thing you can check the UK Law regarding this from your side to make sure that it is so.”

This is simply untrue. Red Dog Casino is illegally taking bets from players from the United Kingdom.

You can read more about this specific thread here.

We’ve also read a number of reports of Red Dog Casino withholding winnings from players, often for unknown or weak reasons. For this reason, we strongly recommend you stay away from Red Dog Casino and play elsewhere.
