How come I've never heard of this NetEnt slot before???
If you haven't seen it before, you HAVE to watch this video

I found it at random while searching for something else with "wild" in its name.
So anyway, it was my first play, my first ever free spins after only about 20-25 pulls, and definitely the most bizarre slot I've seen since RTG's Cubee! :eek2:

I only started recording the video after about 6-7 minutes, after I completed the first "world" and it re-triggered to give me another 8 spins in the second world.

I certainly didn't expect the feature to go on for more than 10 minutes, be totally bizarre and weird, or to totally take the piss in the last "world" when it paid me NOTHING at all, until a tiny 0.15 win on the very last spin.
The final result was 164x - so not too shabby.

If you like "value for money" (ie. a bonus feature that can last for AGES) or just weird shit, then this could be the slot for you!

Used to play this quite a bit in the old days, low variance slot but gives quite some play time
Video is back now
I hadn't done any video editing for Youtube for about 2 years and somehow managed to duplicate the whole thing so that it played through TWICE!

I reviewed this on my old YT channel back in 2019 not long after it was released, I quite liked it, seemed to be a genuine attempt to give the player some value for money, sensible variance, and a fun bonus round that could go on for ages.

This was back when the HV/streamer bait/feature buy+gamble/etc era was starting to get going and I was like, 'Play this game, it's fun, stuff like this still exists!'

There was a thread here at CM about it at the time, a common complaint was that people couldn't work out what was going on, so I set about getting my head around it and explaining it in a video.

I can only assume it didn't do very well as it wasn't something that was repeated/copied, to the best of my knowledge.

Once you got your head around the rules and knew what you looking out for, there was a lot to enjoy IMO.

If I ever get round to re-uploading my online slots content one day I'll put this on the list:

have played since release literally played it yesterday. One of their more fun games, plus it has a 96% RTP everywhere, biggest win I have seen was around 500x with three retriggers.

I thought this was among the big pile which got retired a couple or so years back when Netent had a massive clear out, obviously not.

IIRC, they used to use it in SNG battles but quickly changed it due to the bonus feature length you describe.

Never recall playing it for real funds but may have a look later this month when I next play.

Maybe we should pool info at VS and list as many 96%+ slots as we can that are available there for those that are looking for playtime and entertainment more than high variance frustration. I know the two don't always go hand in hand but it would be nice to get the odd session that doesn't require a reload after half an hour on low stakes.

This was one I expected to be retired, but it survived the great NetEnt cull - and I'm glad because I'm a fan of it. I've only seen it at one math model so I assume it isn't popular enough to be ruined yet (please don't jinx it everyone!)

The bonus tends to be a bit feast-or-famine because if you can't trigger wilds it'll be a disaster - retriggers more-so (I've seen the sub-1x retrigger you mention too), but once it gets going you get decent playtime - capable of throwing in 100x to 250x bonuses (and occasionally more) but a fairly tame offering perfect for a low-stakes low-intensity session.

You can list their entire games selection by TRTP from the Game Payouts section, they still have loads on their books at 96-97%, and quite a few at north of 97%. Quite a lot of older games too, with sensible variance.

another netent guilty pleasure is street fighter 2, can be really good if you beat a few bosses in the bonus round as it has a big bass bonanza style increasing multiplier, it is also 96% across the board, another I will play is is warlords which is damn near 97%.

a lot of older netents are still 96%, only the bigger names and new releases seemed to have been reduced so just avoid stuff like starburst, steam tower, blood suckers etc. and always check before spinning.

Interesting thread. Never liked the look of the slot personally but good to see other recommendations for sensible variance / play time slots.

I sometimes play Lady Of Fortune (Play & Go) - max win 150x but can turn it over for hours. Although that's on the "stupidly low" variance side, obviously.

It was even better before they patched it 🤣 .

It's a real shame NetEnt tossed half of their back catalogue in the HTML5 migration (previous to being acquired), particularly as they're releasing very little under their new ownership (mostly being exploited as IP for Red Tiger "modernisations"). Probably more games in that list I'd be willing to play than modern scratchcard slots!

Thanks for the tip!
Never heard of that slot either, so went and had a little go...
Made over £100 in less than 8 minutes and just 50 spins!
Started with 75p spins to "get a feel" for it, then upped to £1.50 and picked the best Orb from the feature.

Yeah it's quite useful that.

By the way, that Double Fancy 7's game you were raving about the other week because it was 97% RTP or whatever has been dropped to 94.93% -

So let's be careful what games we mention in case they go the same way...

Just loaded it up myself, can confirm. No information displayed when I loaded the game up to let me know VS had just decided to help themselves to a massive increase in the house edge.

Old house edge - 2.94%

New house edge - 5.07%

Meh, that'll do for me, what a crushingly depressing landscape the world of online slots has become, I was already thinking of making 2024 a gambling free year, that'll seal the deal - it's just so emblematic of all that is rotten to the core in the industry.

Also sorry to anyone who was playing this and has now had their RTP on it nerfed into oblivion. I'm aware VS are active on the forums (and indeed could see their account browsing the thread where I was posting about Double Fancy 7s), but ever the wide-eyed romanticist who likes to think the best of people, I didn't think it'd lead to them nerfing a relatively insignificant old single-liner on their books that was still delivering a solid 3% house edge for them.

You need to take their figures with a small pinch of salt...
I just checked their highest returns and got this INCORRECT information:

VS top RPT Jan24.jpg

Lucky Gems REAL RTP:

VS Jems Jan24.jpg

And Meja Joker:

(Apparently, it's only 99% if you are the most skillful person in the world)

VS Mega J Jan24.jpg

We are seeing more of that - games that require a substantial amount of play because of stored value, that require you to gamble to infinity (tm) or learn incomprehensible levels of strategy to achieve the TRTP.

I can imagine operators love advertising 96% TRTP games that have an 8% house edge... and sadly we're going to see more of it. I've commented before about "first spin RTP" or "basic strategy RTP" as a way to highlight this information, but understandably the industry aren't going to tell you that their 96% TRTP game is actually 92% unless you worship a sun god on the third Thursday of the month while eating an ice cream.

Additionally, a good point regarding secondary sources of TRTP information - if sites are going to the trouble then they must be keeping it up to date... we don't want another Entain situation where they nerfed the RTPs and lied about it for 3 months because of their insistence of out of date external help files.

I feel a bit sorry for Choppers now. That reveal about the lowered RTP% on Double Fancy 7's seemed to crush his gentle spirit a bit. I hope he's OK 😟

Seriously though, if we didn't have online slots we'd all have to play land-based slots at 86-92% in AGCs or LBOs, surrounded by mouth-breathers peering over your shoulder as they wait to put a 50p accumulator on, their body odour so toxic it's like you're eating it.
And look at the variety you get on those terminals; Eye of Horus and Fishing Frenzy everywhere you look. Boring as fuck. At least online you get plenty of choice, low stake options and the RTPs are still decent in comparison. We've been spoiled for years.

Cheer up pal - 95% isn't the end of the world 😀
