Canadian Banks refusing gambling winnings

Scotiabank is run by a robotic simpleton, that's why the lag behind the big 3, PC/CIBC, Royal are the best to deal with, TD are dickheads, BMO not too bad, run from Scotia.

It's weird that ScotiaBank allows you to deposit money into PlayOLG.ca but CIBC doesn't. I use BMO to deposit there on the rare occasions I play at that crappy online casino.

I get my withdrawals back from CIBC and BMO. The fees seem to fluctuate. When I cashed out $740 from Bet Victor into my BMO account, they only took $14. CIBC seems to take double that but I think BMO has done the same. I am awaiting a withdrawal from Slots Million of $350. I expect to get at least $320 back tomorrow or Friday.

quiting is not an option.....

Received a wire transfer into BMO, took 4 business days from Malta...cost 14$ on the banks end( plus 7.50 to deposit and processing fees.) With instadebit : 32red and bet365....2$ in....2$ back to bank, but sadly no doa.
good luck on which way you choose.

yeah I use my scotia visa to deposit on PlayOLG and then cashout to my bank. But Im not playing there until they get some real slots.

I use my scotia visa on sports interaction but its through a voucher. And then cashout via echeck.

Its all weird, I have an RBC Avion, Scotia Infinite Momentum, BMO World Elite and TD Aeroplan, all get declined for gaming, CIBC Aventura still works but that's it and I was sent a message about 6 mths ago that CIBC would not allow gaming transactions, not sure any of the banks know what the hell is going on.

My walmart mastercard and BMO airmiles used to work. Not anymore!

I have all but given up using bank cards which is actually great , I travel extensively and have high limits, way too easy to pound on those cards, this way it keeps things in check, for me anyway.

So it was either walk out and buy a paysafe card for around 10%(?), can't quite remember, or use my regular
BMO MasterCard with secure code that worked to deposit into Malta....that has a cash advance fee of 5$.
Just the cost of doing business these days...and then a really helpful women from the bank who gave me
all the routing numbers etc.

Hi,

I have some bad news to report.

I am afraid that your new bank has refused your withdrawal. They cited 'gambling proceeds' as the reason for the rejection.

We are working on alternatives, including integrating a new transfer system that will allow us to get around the bank rejections.

Unfortunately as it seems the banks continue to refuse the transactions (and charge us $95 for both the transaction and rejection each time we try) we will have to work something else out.

I know this is very frustrating but rest assured we will find a way, somehow.

If you have any ideas in the meantime please let me know,

Thanks again,

James.

Wow. I have no idea how Im going to get my money. A friend of mine told me CIBC refused gambling money too.

Are you serious? PC Financial has always worked for me. Maybe they are shutting us down. Instadebit and Ecopayz still work well so far. I think it may have to do with the amount. Puts up red flags. I have more deposits then withdrawals and my withdrawals are very small (I take what I can get). Can they send out the funds in increments? There has to be a solution I would hope.

PC is CIBC. I'm with Alterna no problems but did talk to Alterna cs I was told that with Scotia not accepting wire transfer that CIBC will follow so probably that's why the problem. Why not use Instadebit? I have never had a problem using Instadebit.

There is a payment solution that has come recently, which is being reviewed by the company I work for. Basically the "casino" can send you a prepaid mastercard which can be recharged by the casino, but only by the casino which sent you the card. You can withdraw via an ATM up to €500 per day and max €10,000 per month after a full KYC has been performed. The card would cost the player €10. Would be interesting to hear some feedback from you guys about this.

Well I can try it with PC I guess. But Scotia told me if I attempt one more gaming transaction they will close all my products I have with them. This includes any ewallet attempts.

Would this be any different to getting a prepaid card from Neteller/Skrill/Eco?
Which can be used to cash winnings from any casino?

Will it have your name on it?
And lastly, can it be issued in any currency the casino offers?

Thanks!

Freddy

Wow this is really bad... I was about to go buy a paysafe card to make a deposit.... I'll go to the gym instead

paysafe is a prepaid card? Also can it be loaded by the casino nd then used at an ATM? I know trada can pay back to cards. The only reason why they cant do mine is Canadian banks have blocked these types already
