Albumza is a brand new social casino available to players in New York and California only. Since sweepstakes casinos are restricted in those states, Albumza’s unique structure gives New Yorkers and Californians an alternative way to play casino-style games online. The casino is built around collecting digital cards and earning a promotional currency called Tickets.
Albumza went live in June 2026, and it’s fair to say the site was still getting off the ground when we joined the following month. There are 287 games in total and all of them are either slots or simple instant-win games. Compared with top sweepstakes casinos, it’s a noticeably smaller collection.
It’s a similar story with bonuses: there are a couple of interesting promos, built around the card-collecting element of the site, but Albumza is lacking many of the classic promos we’re used to seeing, like a Refer a Friend offer and a VIP loyalty program.

Albumza Casino Overview
The gaming experience at Albumza is built around two pillars: collecting virtual cards to build your album, which can be used to battle on Albumza’s sister site, and using Tickets to play casino-style games.
The selection of games on offer is on the smaller side at 287. The lineup includes many of the same games and software providers you’ll find at sweepstakes casinos in other states, from the likes of Booming Games and Jili. As a collection of slots, there’s a solid range of themes and mechanics to explore. If you’re looking for a more diverse gaming experience, with tables and live dealer games, you won’t find it here.
If you’re into fantasy card games like Magic: The Gathering, building out your album of cards adds a fun new dimension to the experience.
Even though we were more interested in the casino-style games on offer, we ended up enjoying the collection process a lot, too. Cards are split into different power categories: Snow, Nature, Midnight, Fire, Thunder, and Sea, and you can also use them to battle on CollectDuel, a separate platform from Albumza. Bonuses are relatively limited. We got 300 Tickets as soon as we signed up as a no-deposit bonus. Outside of that, you can get more Tickets either as a free bonus when you purchase cards or by entering coupon bonus codes, which you can find on social media.
We missed having more ongoing promos and events, like missions, slot tournaments, or loyalty rewards. Albumza is owned and operated by Marquis Element Interactive SRL, which is headquartered in Costa Rica. As it’s still early days for the site, it doesn’t have much of a reputation in the industry yet. However, it’s clear that the structure has been carefully designed to capture players in NY and CA, where regular sweepstakes casinos are restricted.
How Does Albumza Casino Work?
Joining and playing games at Albumza is free. Unlike sweepstakes casinos, which generally use two types of currency called Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins for gameplay, Albumza uses just one: Tickets.
Tickets work in a similar way to Sweeps Coins. Once you use them once to play games, they can be redeemed for a cash prize. 100 Tickets are worth $1 in prizes.
You’ll get 300 Tickets (similar to 3 SC) when you sign up, and you can claim more for free using coupon codes, which you can pick up through different promos. The other main way to get Tickets is by purchasing cards, which come with free Tickets as a bonus.
The structure is different from a sweepstakes casino and there is no Alternative Method of Entry (like sending mail requests), which is required at sweeps casinos. The way Albumza is set up is specifically designed to comply with the anti-sweepstakes casino laws introduced in New York and California, opening up a new way for players to play in those states.
Albumza Casino Games
Albumza’s selection of games is relatively modest: 287 games in total, and most of them are slots. There are a handful of scratch cards or instant win games too, and we saw a Plinko game and a single crash game.
The way the lobby is designed frustrated us. For a start, we’d like to see separate sections for the slots and instant games. As it is, everything is more or less lumped together, with some vague categories like “Hot” and “Featured” being the main way to explore. It took us almost a week to notice that there was actually a crash game buried in the menu: Aviajet from Gamzix.
The good news is that once you actually launch a game, the software works very smoothly. We tested out Albumza using both a laptop and our iPhone, and the experience held up perfectly on both — even without an Albumza app. Games loaded instantly, we experienced no lag in gameplay, and the colors and graphics popped.
Slots make up the bulk of the menu here, and we were happy to find a good range of different formats and mechanics, comparable to the selection we’re used to in sweeps casinos in other states. Hold and Wins, Hold and Spin, Link and Loot: these are all fun, modern slot mechanics, and it shows that Albumza is keeping pace with other slot casinos.
On the downside, Albumza is definitely lacking variety compared to many sweeps casinos. We missed having classic table games like roulette and blackjack, and after playing on the site for two weeks, the selection did start to feel repetitive.

Frustratingly, you can’t sort the menu by providers or even see a full list of all providers on the site, so it’s hard to really get a sense of variety here.

Albumza Casino Banking Options
You don’t need to spend any money to play at Albumza. However, you can purchase cards to build your album and also receive some free Tickets at the same time.
To do so, you need to click the link on Albumza’s website in order to get redirected to a separate site called CollectDuel. Select the card you want and add it to your cart, then head to the checkout page to finish the process.
You can use Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, or UnionPay, or GPay or Apple Pay on supported devices.
We started off by purchasing an Aurora Frost card for $35, which included 3,509 Tickets as a bonus. The payment went through instantly, and the Tickets appeared back in our Albumza account shortly afterward.
Unfortunately, we didn’t find any discounts or first purchase offers here. Instead, you can choose from a huge range of 91 different cards, all with different powers and types, ranging in price from $1 to $1,000. Each one comes with free Tickets.
Tickets are redeemable for cash prizes after they have been used at least 1x in gameplay. A cash transfer to your bank account is the only option here, with no gift cards or crypto prizes on offer.
Even though the mechanism is different, we found the process pretty similar to redeeming Sweeps Coins at sweepstakes casinos. We first had to submit some documents to complete KYC, including ID, Proof of Address, and a Bank Statement.
The minimum you can redeem is 5,000 Tickets, which is worth $50.
Is Albumza Casino Safe?
Albumza is still a very young site, but the signs are positive for now. The structure has been specially designed to allow players in New York and California to play casino-style games legally, with respect to the regulations in those states against sweepstakes casinos.
Personal data stored on the site is protected by strong ECDSA encryption. The payment process actually takes place on CollectDuel, Albumza’s sister site, and is also encrypted. It’s a good sign that pretty much all major US credit cards are happy to work with the site, too.
Albumza extends some basic Player Safety tools to help you manage your time on-site. We were happy to notice that Activity Reminders are automatically turned on every hour, encouraging you to take a break. You can also set time limits on your gaming or self-exclude either temporarily or permanently.
Legal Status of Albumza Casino
Albumza is legal in New York and California. Its model — combining recreational card collecting and battling with casino style games — has been created to get around the anti-sweepstakes regulations that have been introduced in both of those states.
Playing at Albumza is free and purchasing additional cards is entirely optional. It’s not a real money gambling site, and neither does it use the promotional GC/SC model of sweepstakes casinos.

Customer support at Albumza definitely needs work.
The only way to get in touch is via email at [email protected]. We sent a couple of questions for this Albumza review, and each time we received a confirmation but not an answer to our questions. In one case, Albumza sent multiple follow-up emails to say that our question was still in the queue, but we’re still waiting for it to be answered.
Worse again, there is virtually no self-service customer support available, like FAQs or a Help Center. There is an “FAQ and Support” button in the menu, but all it does is bring up the email address we mentioned above.
It’s disappointing, especially since the structure of the casino (collecting cards and earning Tickets) is likely to be new to most players, and they will naturally have questions.
This is clearly an area Albumza needs to work on.
Albumza Casino Review Summary
It was a sad day for social casino fans when New York and California both moved to block sweepstakes casinos in each state, so we were more than a little intrigued to discover sites like Albumza and Card Crush that have come up with a workaround.
After two weeks getting to know Albumza, our overriding feeling is that we’re happy this site exists, but it has some improving to do.
If you’re in NY or CA and miss sweeps casinos, Albumza definitely scratches that itch. Its lineup of games is small but has a decent amount of variety (even though the way the lobby is designed doesn’t make it easy to appreciate). The Ticket structure is similar to using Sweeps Coins, and building your card collection adds a whole new element that fantasy fans will love.
At the same time, Albumza definitely has some improving to do to compete with the experience at the top sweepstakes casinos. The software is clunky, there aren’t many ongoing promos and customer support is below par.
