Daily fantasy sports provider DraftKings has confirmed that the $250 million Walt Disney investment in the company (see previous InfoPowa reports) is off the table, although it has salvaged an exclusive three-year advertising deal with Disney subsidiary ESPN.
Neither company has offered any explanation for the change, although industry observers have noted that Disney may have shied away from the growing perception that daily fantasy sports is associated with gambling.
