No GUTS/RIZK/BETSPIN/NETENT for Canada

Maybe paying for a liscence that could be problematic soon is not a good gamble for guts. Canadian government are dumb as f.ck when it comes to gambling. In a year or two, the only place canucks will be able to play online slots is provincial sh.t casinos like espace jeux and play olg. When they will realize a negative customer increase, I hope they choke and die on their own d.cks. I hate my country so much.
I love my country and so should you! I just hate some of the dumb shit our banks and government does

hah sounds like a Plan! :D

Well, yeah....it's not really our country, it's a very few Rich guys who owns it all....same things happen with the USA, main reason Online Gambling law has Passed was that Billionaire Mr Sheldon Adelson who bought a few friends in Politics.....that way, they'll get more customers in land based Casino, it's all About controlling the Market......and Not for kids protection and that bla bla Politics stuff or w/e...

anyways....Are you from Montreal Hello? ....Espace jeux is quite a nice site tho..(sadly no Live games)...or else, honestly...imo, our land based Casino is Amazing! probably in the Top 10!

Again, Hopefully it will be only on slots and Lives games will not be affected by this change..... :(

Yes we have a top notch casino...looks awesome...but what is the rtp of casino de Montreal?

Ugh....here we go...the slow death of online gambling...

Do we know why this is happening.

I for one will not miss doa. Lol.

I wonder whether this is connected to Netent's openly stated ambitions in the US?

It will be interesting to see whether Captain Rizk's prediction of a network-wide ban in Canada turns out to be correct.

it seems they are quite busy in New Jersey...lots of netent and jersey gaming deals happened these last few months..they have an office in Hoboken NJ.

Ok ok... Our country is not so bad...Sorry for my short temper. Rtp in montreal's casino is just as awful as the slot machines in local bars. Driving an hour to get owned by their slots is just not worth it for me. I am fed up with loto quebec's attitude toward gamblers... It's like we owe them our gambling budget and they can spit in our mouth for free in exchange. I won't ever play on espace jeux. It's runned by clueless people who graduated from their 3 years of CEGEP in administration while not knowing what doing in poker neither slots or anything gambling related. Their poker software was a joke years ago, now it's a mess. Their games choices is completly outdated. I just hate them. Customer support is even worse.

Videoslots actually pointed this out a while back. They don't let Canada players play Netent at all, and claim that sites like Guts which do are technically breaching their terms of game supply. I don't know the ins and outs there but it appears some casinos with Netent interpret things one way, sites like Slotsmillion the other.

Interesting post considering todays events. I think I will just wait and see what happens tomorrow.

From the posts dunover mentions:

On the 7th July 2014 Netent sent out an update regarding restricted countries. Due to this, we were forced to block several countries from playing Netent games including Canada.
As we have got many complaints regarding Canada being blocked at Videoslots.com but not at other casinos, we asked Netent regarding this and how we could be compliant to offer Netent games to players in Canada.

Netent's answer was the following:
"Canada is a black-listed market where Netent games must not be offered. NetEnt has a strict zero-tolerance policy towards this. Netent is currently contacting the operators individually to remind them of their responsibility to follow their contracts, which state that no traffic from Canada should be accepted. NetEnt reserves the rights to terminate the contract and claim damage should they breach it, as illegal activities might harm NetEnt’s strategy."

This is the information that we have received directly from Netent and this is what we are following. We cannot comment on anything outside of our own business and agreements.

Thanks for all your feedback!

Right, but Videoslots has been allowing it, and Netent has been allowing Videoslots and other Casino's too. There is no reason for Canada to be "black-listed". Maybe geographically we are not deemed desirable? Meaning there is no economic viability. The States where they seem to be targeting, is. Fresh meat. Someone mentioned earlier that there would be a IP ban on Canada, that would be almost impossible. Most of our IP's bounce from the states now.

So looking at that thread, VS stated unequivocably Canadians shouldn't be playing NetEnt (but people do there I guess? I don't know, I havent depped at VS) - perhaps all will be following suit as they're poked by NetEnt to do so...or not. I just don't know any more lol.

Maybe GUTS is lone wolf on this one.

As a GUTS player it sucks. But moreso for GUTS I'd think if they stand alone here.

edit- the 2 posts above were posting as I was typing in case anyone wonders why the redundant(ish) post.

I just wanted to highlight the blacklisted part about Canada...not that it was from videoslots...should have removed that part...sorry...

Maybe we should start a thread ...netent games I will miss...and not miss....lol...

I would recommend that if this case and some casinos are still allowing Canadians after tomorrow it should not openly be discussed, the fewer eyes the better, when Guts were allowing Canadians VS was not happy about it.

Fair point, lest we shoot ourselves in the foot. We'll play where we're welcomed lol

Delete all posts....lol

lol, I stand by my initial post - if i hadnt, someone would have, it's important news and at least noone will deposit tomorrow or the next day and be WTF???
Besides, if noone else follows suit, perhaps GUTS will have a change of heart when their Canadian gambling geese have flown to greener grasses.

Either way, I'm out for now. ;)

If it should happen, I would without a doubt miss Jack and the Beanstalk! You?

It almost sounds like its a battle of wills between casinos and Netent, and we are getting in the crossfire. Because Canada's dollar is of no value to Netent. Greedy, greedy, greedy! FYI, since you don't play there. The battle that everyone was going on about last week at Videoslots? 90% of the games are Netent.

Damn I wish Novo would ban Canadians, I have lost about 2 k in the last 2 days....that's one fu**ing unforgiving platform.

I rarely come across them, same as Aristo - which I miss, and dont even recall if we can even play those anymore.

As to IGT/WMS, that was probably a god-send, though I'd still like to poke at them now and again.

If Micro throws in the towel I'm gonna have to take up, I dunno..macrame

(ya, ya, I said I was out - this was a generic comment on slots...actually, I will go start a thread)
