The buck stops here...NOT!
We've heard plenty of excuses of not honoring bonuses to players who have met wagering requirements, but this is a first. Let's blame it on the referring webmaster...

Submitted via PAB:
The Problem: When I signed up to Fatbet casino, I was given a special offer (it's all documented in emails), I had to wager 30,000 chips and after that I'd get $1000 non-withdrawable bonus. Support even confirmed that the bonus code "astroga" was accepted and that I could start wagering.

Now I have met all requirements, claimed the bonus but they won't give it to me. They say it is no longer available, expired.

I pointed out that while they may indeed give or not give this bonus to new players as they wish, I have already opted in and met all requirements on my side of the contract, their reply was:

"As per our Terms of Use, Clause 3:

'We reserve the right to cancel, reclaim or refuse this Promotion at its own discretion.'

So basically they renege their offer and apply "we can do whatever we want and our decision is final".

I have contacted a well-known affiliate site that advertises their poker room to find out more and this is what they wrote: "They (Fatbet) said that the offer cost them a lot of money and therefore they pulled the promotion"

We contacted Fatbet, and this was their reply:

Thank you for your email and for your effort in assisting a fellow player.

"We are aware of this case and of the player's unfortunate situation but this is not a matter that should be resolved by FatBetCasino, but instead by the affiliate who offered this bonus.

FatBet's own bonuses are triggered upon first deposit and are hence guaranteed by the system. The bonus this player is referring to on the other hand, is a coded bonus set up for one specific affiliate and is thus subject to the affiliate's terms and conditions.

Furthermore, we had to cancel the validity of the bonus upon request of the affiliate and as soon as he notified us of his intent not to honour his part of the deal (affecting both his referred players as ourselves).

We would suggest the player to get in touch with his affiliate and try to come to a resolution with him. We realize this is unfair to the player but in this case I'm afraid both the player and Fatbet are victims to the irresponsibility of one affiliate."

In ten years of assisting players, this is the first time I've heard of "go talk to the affiliate." These are irresponsible marketing practices that open up a multitude of potential "bonus traps" set up by dodgy affiliates. The casino ought to take the bull by the horns - which includes taking responsibility of its marketing and affiliate program, and its customer service rep who informed this player that everything was good to go.

Avoid this casino at all costs.
