Online gambling giant collaborates with Citadel on
new payment option
Citadel Commerce Corp., commenced processing Instant
Internet Banking transactions for 888 Holdings plc this
week. The Instant Internet Banking service is a new
payment solution that provides the capability for
international consumers to securely pay for purchased
items using their Internet bank account.
This is accomplished by the consumer logging into their
own Internet Banking system and securely initiating a
payment directly to a Citadel owned bank account.
Payments can be made via Citadel's fully automated
Payment Assistant, by the consumer manually logging into
their bank account and pushing funds to Citadel, or by
depositing cash at local bank branches.
Citadel's Internet Banking solution is a low cost
alternative payment solution that supports an
international base of banks without relying on
traditional banking infrastructure, a company spokesman
explained. It encompasses a white labeled payment
interface that can be easily and rapidly integrated
directly into merchant sites, along with a sophisticated
fully automated backend that supports and reconciles a
large network of international bank accounts, handles
foreign currencies, and supports international treasury
management functions.
"We have been testing Citadel's Instant Internet Bank
Transfers with some of our VIP customers, and they have
found the system to be very effective and easy to use",
stated Gigi Levy, CEO of 888.com. "We expect to continue
to expand the rollout to more of our VIPs in additional
countries, and we have initiated efforts to fully
integrate Instant Internet Banking into our main cashier
pages".
"888.com has been an instrumental long term customer of
Citadel, and we are extremely pleased to launch Instant
Internet Banking with their support",said Michael Meeks,
President of ESI and Citadel Commerce. "888.com is
extremely sophisticated and experienced with their
payment options, and with their feedback we will
continue to expand our banking network and enhance the
product".
