From family entertainment to online skill game for cash

GamesGrid, a subsidiary of the UK skill games provider GameAccount has added Domino Duel, a real-money, peer-to-peer online version of dominoes, to its range of skill games.

A statement from the provider this week claims that the company has given the ageless game a slick modern treatment, empowering players to create or join a table and play head-to-head by laying down virtual domino tiles on the board. "When you have played all of your own, earn points for those tiles that your opponent has left in his hand. The player who reaches the target score first wins the cash!" says the marketing blurb.

“I’d like to think we’ve created a little piece of gaming history today. We have given the classic game of Draw Dominoes a slick modern treatment and are extremely excited by its potential”, said GameAccount chief executive Kevin Dale: "Dominoes is considered to be the national game of many Latin American and Caribbean countries and is a popular club game in Europe."
