Poker social networking newbie continues to build
momentum
Poker Battle, the new poker "social networking" brand
announced recently (see previous InfoPowa report), has
added several more new faces to its roster of poker
stars prior to its September 2 soft launch on the
Partouche Poker Tour in Cannes, France. The full brand
launch remains scheduled for September 27 at the World
Series of Poker Europe extravaganza in London.
Poker Battle Warriors attending the Cannes event will
now include top poker pros Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson, Phil
Ivey, David Benyamine, Erica Schoenberg, pro gamer
'Fatality,' Glen Chorny and Nenad Medic.
Other Warriors previously announced include David
Williams, Noah Schwartz, David "Chino" Rheem, Michael
"The Grinder" Mizrachi, Rob Mizrachi, Eric Mizrachi,
Evelyn Ng, Chad Brown, Vanessa Rousso, Tiffany Michelle,
Joe Cassidy, Nam Le, Steve Sung, Jeff Madsen and Patryk
Hildebranski.
Poker Battle has also confirmed the addition of 2008 $50
000 H.O.R.S.E. winner Scotty Nguyen.
French poker player and businessman Philippe Rouas heads
up Poker Battle's social networking site, which has
promised users a complete lineup of entertaining poker
content, including original reality-based shows
featuring celebrities and poker players, game shows,
online radio, podcasts, "available online only"
fashions, sitcoms, and movies.
The company has been generating considerable publicity
on its run-up to the Cannes soft launch and the
end-September full launch, and has opened a new Poker
Battle World Headquarters and Broadcast Studios in Las
Vegas. A Poker Battle Pro Tour remains on the calendar
of events for 2009.
