Gus Hansen signs with Gameloft


Video and mobile phone game specialist publisher Gameloft and poker ace Gus Hansen have been working together in developing Million Dollar Poker, a game designed to be the most accessible and advanced poker game to date, featuring skill, strategy and expertise. The product launch is targeted on October 29 this year.

“Poker games are a staple in the arena of mobile games and our challenge was to develop the next evolution of the genre,” said Gonzague de Vallois, vice president of publishing at Gameloft. “With Million Dollar Poker, we have succeeded through integrating Gus Hansen’s strategic genius and input to create one of the most challenging poker games that takes on the player on a mental level.”

Hansen contributed his expertise and hands on experience, providing players with the most reality based poker experience yet for mobile phones - Gameloft’s Million Dollar Poker features a new and innovative Artificial Intelligence engine that will constantly evolve and challenge the player.

Gameloft claims that in an industry first a psychological dimension is applied that will allow the AI to study its opponent, remember their moves and strategise against them. An original integrated function creates over one million unique opponent profiles, assuring that each gamer’s playing level will be perfectly matched, and that players will never face the same opponent twice.

“It was truly an exciting and eye-opening process for me working with Gameloft to develop this poker title,” said Hansen. “The amount of thought and detail put into creating this game was impressive. I was able to contribute knowledge of my poker skills, but Gameloft taught me a few things about developing a great poker game.”
