HECTIC 7-GAME ACTION ONLINE
30 October 2009
Big names and big winnings on Full Tilt's
nosebleed tables
The numbers looked like a telephone directory as the big
names came out to play Monday night on the online high
stakes cash game tables at Full Tilt Poker.com.
You have to feel for David Benyamine, who took another
pounding, losing $434 000 to exacerbate his losses for
the year to around $1.4 million. Other big losers on the
night were Richard Ashby (-$530k), NEKOTYAN (-$336k),
Cole South (-$218k), DIN_FRU (-$204k), Chau Giang
(-$127k) and David Oppenheim (-$106k), according to the
independent poker stats site MarketPulse.
Phil
Galfond and Brian Townsend were also on the losing end
this time around, both down just under $100 000.
Those losses amounted to profits for the likes of Patrik
Antonius (+$800 000), who is now logging profit for 2009
at over $6 million, well ahead of his nearest rival
Ashton Griffin who has reached $3.6 million for the year
so far. Other players in the black following Monday
night's action were Daniel Alai, Gus Hansen and Brian
Hastings - all around the $300 000 mark; Nizot Skizared,
who took home $270 000 and Ilari Sahamies who prospered
by $140 000.
Earning smaller profits, but leaving
up over the night were Tom Dwan, Matt Hawrilenko,
EazyPeazy and Di "Urindanger" Dang.
Not content
with their 7-Game action, several players moved on to
the $500/$1 000 No-Limit Hold'em tables. One table in
particular was the scene for some exciting poker with
names like Ivey, Dwan, Juanda, South and Dang all mixing
it up with significant pots.
Capping an
entertaining evening for the online railbirds, Tom Dwan
took down the night's biggest pot at $85 000, playing
Patrik Antonius heads up at $500/$1 000 Pot-Limit Omaha.
