DEVILFISH INKS NEWSLETTER AGREEMENT

Online Casino News

30 October 2009

SmartFocus software will be used to send 100 000 newsletters a month

SmartFOCUS, a multi-channel marketing software provider, has been chosen by b2b services supplier Devilfish Gaming to help deliver cost effective and targeted monthly newsletter campaigns.

Devilfish has implemented the smartFOCUS software to increase the effectiveness of its communications and increase customer retention, a vital concern in the increasingly competitive online gaming industry.

Prior to implementing smartFOCUS, Devilfish had no technical newsletter system in place. The gaming site was looking for a scalable and affordable way to regularly announce special offers and customer announcements, with the objective of sending around 100 000 emails a month.

Using powerful email marketing software provided by smartFOCUS, the team operating the software at Devilfish is able to monitor the click-through and open rates of the newsletter, as well as drill down for further analysis. The e-newsletters are being rolled out across all of Devilfish’s non-US markets, including Europe and Asia.

Paul Barnes, CEO for Devilfish Gaming plc said: “In online gaming, it’s important to communicate with customers and smartFOCUS has helped us do this much more effectively. As a result, we have increased customer retention. Being able to segment our database allows us to accurately target customers with information that is relevant to them, and this is something they appreciate.”
