BAD NIGHT FOR BENYAMINE
23 October 2009
Renowned high stakes poker player drops $405
000
Full Tilt Poker's online nosebleed tables created a
hemorrhage for high stakes cash game pro David
Benyamine mid-week when he lost bigtime, mainly to Gus
Hansen and Ilari Sahamies, leaving the virtual 7-Game
tables down by $405 000.
Benyamine has had better
years, and to date is down overall by almost a million
dollars.
For Hansen, who has himself been taking
something of a battering recently, it was a welcome
change in fortunes as he cashed in $243 000 for the
night.
Finnish pro Patrik Antonius also suffered
something of a reverse, going down $81 000 in the same
game and compounding his misfortune with a further loss
of $53 000 playing heads up $500/$1 000 No-Limit Hold'em
against Tom Marchese.
