Metro and Mkodo get it together
Mobile betting technology company Mkodo has signed up
the UK large circulation free newspaper Metro for a
mobile sportsbook that will involve Rank Group
subsidiary Blue Square.
Branded MEbet Mobile,
the site complements Metro’s online service, and will be
promoted via the Metro brand’s other Metro Mobile
interactivity in print, online and via SMS
calls-to-action.
Metro is published by Daily
Mail publisher Associated Newspapers, and targets public
transport users in 14 UK cities including Birmingham,
Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Manchester.
Mkodo is utilising Blue Square’s sportsbook for
Metro’s mobile betting.
Mark Gibson, Mkodo
business development manager said: “This mobile
sportsbook complements Metro’s other mobile products and
we expect this to be very popular with readers.”
Metro is the latest UK news medium to enter the mobile
gambling sector, following deals between Mfuse and the
magazine 'Nuts' and Dennis Publishing's 'Monkey
Magazine.'
