KENTUCKY MOTION TO STAY SUCCESSFUL (Update)
24 October 2008
Judge Wingate sets new date of December 3rd
The Motion to Stay presented Wednesday by lawyers
representing the Interactive Gaming Council to Judge
Thomas Wingate (see previous InfoPowa report) appears to
have been successful in at least giving interested
parties more time to assemble further arguments and head
off domain disqualifications by proving that they have
blocked Kentucky residents.
After taking the Motion on advisement, Judge Wingate
ruled Thursday that the hearing would be moved from
November 17 to December 3.
The Golden Palace claim that it was not accepting
Kentucky punters failed when Judge Wingate cited an
example of a cash bet being placed and accepted by
associate Golden Casino from a Kentucky resident.
