GETTING THE LOWDOWN ON POKER SOFTWARE
24 October 2008
New independent website will keep players informed
Newly launched PokerSoftware.com is promising an
independent and unbiased view on what's hot and what's
not in the online poker milieu, taking on the task of
researching, analysing and discussing tools to help
players.
In addition to detailed reviews of the various poker
softwares deployed in the market, the site is loaded
with professional video material gathered by the owners,
the respected PokerSource.com people, whose
relationships with major online poker rooms will help
the site gather and refine the latest information.
Each software put through the wringer by the staff at
PokerSoftware.com will be reported on with a full list
of features, a video review that users can watch on the
site, and a full written supplement.
"PokerSoftware.com provides our members with one-stop
shopping for information and analysis of all things
poker pertaining to poker software," says site manager
Cal Spears. "The ability for members to view
professionally-made video presentations featuring some
of the brightest minds in the industry using their
favourite poker software programs makes a visit to
PokerSoftware.com a must."
Membership to the site is free and members are invited
to rate the different poker softwares and participate in
what is likely to become a lively but moderated forum.
Visitors can read about the latest fads in the poker
software industry, discuss the pros and cons of
products, and interact with people who are in the know.
Forums include Poker Software Discussion, Poker Software
Q&A, an AHK Forum, and Poker Chat.
Categories of products reviewed include tracking and
analysis software, odds calculators, table selection
tools, buddy lists, sit and go tools, bankroll trackers,
AHK scripts, graphing applications, data mining
programs, tracking sites, simulation software, and
tournament clocks.
A search feature allows users to sort by member rating,
price, and compatible online poker rooms. Daily feature
content, including interviews with software developers
and views on new poker software programs, will also be
included.
Finally, members can qualify for free licenses from more
than 50 programs, including Poker Tracker 3, Poker
Office, Poker Wingman, Hold'em Manager, Sixth Sense, and
Sit and Go End Game Tools.
