Twelve high-octane events with $270 000 in
guaranteed prizes
The UK-based 3D online poker site PKR.com is to run
its popular Oktoberfest tournaments again this year,
starting Friday 17 October and offering twelve
high-octane events with $270 000 in guaranteed prizes.
With a wide range of games on offer, the second annual
Oktoberfest is designed to appeal to all types of player
with Hold'em and Omaha, deep stack and six-seater
tournaments included on the schedule. The twelve days of
intense tournament action will be crowned with the 'PKR
Masters' event which is expected to pay out the biggest
guaranteed sum in PKR.com history, says a company
spokesman.
Satellites will run throughout the series with new
lotteries offering the chance to qualify for as little
as $3. In addition, final tables of several events are
set to be televised.
Cardroom manager Neil Wright said, "This will make our
seventh festival on PKR.com. We...try to make sure we
cater for everyone, which is reflected in the wide range
of events and affordable buy-ins."
