PARTY POKER'S NEW SITE BOOSTS PERFORMANCE
17 October 2008
Improvements to the Party Poker website appear to
be supercharging visitor numbers
The Market-Pulse poker tracker site reports that Party
Poker is enjoying increased action following the recent
launch of its upgraded software and website (see
previous InfoPowa report)
Starting in September, the online poker provider's
traffic rose 3 percent, surging to 21 percent in the
first weeks of October (to an average of 5 200 players
every 24-hour period) an indication that players approve
of changes that have made the lobby easier to navigate,
improved multi-tabling and several other innovative and
user-friendly features including a new quick-seat
function, live-action previews and customised images.
It may also be a hunger for the potential rewards of an
aggressive promotions schedule the veteran operator has
triggered - an impressive additional $4 million budget
is currently being deployed. The campaign includes $2
million in free cash draws, which is bound to attract
many new players, and major investments in the
millionaire-style "Big Deal" and "King of the Table"
tournaments.
