LGA approval clears the way for a Mediterranean
move
The betting exchange, online casino and poker
operations of Swedish and London Internet gambling firm
Redbet Limited will be relocated to the Mediterranean
island of Malta by the end of 2008, according to a
report from Reuters news agency this week.
The company, which uses Entraction and NetEnt software
and operates the The Poker Club, Two Bullet Poker,
Legato Poker, Whitebet, Kickoff Poker, Poker Panthers,
Goalwin and Redbet websites has been fully inspected and
approved by the Malta licensing authority the LGA.
Redbet Limited is a wholly owned Malta subsidiary of Red
Bet Holdings AB. CEO Jonas Sundvall said in a company
statement that everything would be up and running in
Malta before the end of the [current] year.
RedBet was established in 2002 by RedBet Ltd of London,
England, but did no go live on the Internet until 2004.
The company is headed by Swedish programmers and highly
experienced sports betters and supplies a commendably
comprehensive amount of corporate information on its
website.
The company reported turnover in January 2008 up 17
percent to SEK13.27 million (Euro 1.4 million).
