Arsenal Interactive takes Facebook community
action a step further
The Mountain View, California based web-cam social video
network company Arsenal Interactive has launched its
HeyCosmo Texas Hold'em poker application on the Facebook
platform. HeyCosmo is an intuitive free web-cam service
enabling live interactivity and communication on the
Internet. The service is directly available to Facebook
members from their personal profile pages.
Arsenal's live, multi-player Texas Hold'em poker
application is downloaded from Facebook and players can
choose to join a game already in session or create a new
game, invite other players to join and begin game play
immediately.
Each player has a full-motion video stream around a
graphically rich poker table, allowing participants to
see and talk to each other as if they were in the same
room. Arsenal Interactive's technology supports up to 10
live web-cam video participants and up to 50 people will
be able to watch, listen, and chat during the games. At
30 frames per second, a high degree of reality and
ambience can be achieved.
"With an increasing number of online gaming enthusiasts,
it was just a natural transition for us to create a
poker application specifically catered for interactive
networks," said James H. Im, president and CEO, Arsenal
Interactive, Inc. "It's an easy way for friends to
connect, entertain and communicate with each other at
the same time."
The magic behind HeyCosmo is a high-quality interactive
multimedia engine, which features proprietary video,
audio, and multi-party call control technologies.
Arsenal's engineering team consists of innovative
industry veterans who have collaborated for the past six
years to build proven and scalable multimedia service
platforms in collaboration with various industry
standard groups and service provider entities.
