BIG NAMES AND BIG MONEY FOR 'POKER AFTER DARK'
12 October 2007
Biggest prize pool yet for NBC show
Poker fans will enjoy some high tension and big money as
major names in the poker tournament world clash in the
latest version of the NBC action television show 'Poker
After Dark' scheduled for screening soon.
Among the big names who will be seen in action are Phil
Ivey, David Benyamine and Eli Elezra, all of whom bring
$50 000 to the table, creating the biggest prize pool in
the history of the NBC winner-takes-all show.
This time around, the stakes are higher and the winner
is likely to take home around $300 000. The losers get
nothing - adding to the incentive to win and the killer
instincts of the players with big buy-ins invested.
Five of the 6 participants are WSOP bracelet holders,
and the players have a combined win record of over $25
million in poker tournaments.
This is the line-up:
Seat 1: David Benyamine
Seat 2: Allen Cunningham
Seat 3: Jennifer Harman
Seat 4: Phil Ivey
Seat 5: Barry Greenstein
Seat 6: Eli Elezra
The match will begin airing on NBC late night Monday at
2.05 a.m., October 8, and will continue for five
consecutive nights in the same time slot. A special
program called the "Director's Cut" will air late night
Saturday, October 13, at 1 a.m.
